Our County is now requesting all residents to wear a mask indoors. Don't know if Walmart, and other stores, will enforce what the County is requesting, but I'm pretty sure restaurants won't. As for us, when we were in Colorado Springs for a weekend, the middle of last month, we didn't wear our mask (s) at all and nobody else did either. When we were in Dodge City, Kansas, last week, only seen a few people wearing a mask at the hotel during breakfast, a couple of folks wearing them at a Mexican Restaurant we went to, but that was it. And, at local Walmart, nobody. Same at local casino.........nobody. But, back home now, we will continue to wear both our regular mask and our cloth mask (together). Had a VA Clinic appointment last Tuesday and the VA requires everyone to wear a mask inside the building. Everyone.
Today I received an email from The University of Virginia Health Systems (the regional conglomerate/teaching hospital.) They gave a COVID status, in addition to other updates on their business. They then conclude by stating that the vaccine drastically reduces the risk of infection by variants. They soft-pedal that the delta variant appears to be more likely to produce severe disease and death in The UnVaccinated. I think a lot of the people on this board pleaded with the others not to take the experimental medicine or at least wait till it was approved.
Interestingly, and somewhat disturbing to me, was that I forwarded that video to a friend, and it was flagged as violating community standards by my ISP. I have never had that happen before. Must mean that it contains a lot of valid information.
