BETH !!! How the heck are ya? But yeah, I haven’t been able to figure out why folks are down on Cody when the derned thread is from way back. There are people who wrote in this thread who really aren’t here and haven’t been for some time but yet they’re pickin’ on Cody.
Maybe you know who is really going @Lon Tanner. @Cody Fousnaugh obviously isn’t but you absolutely MUST know since you wrote “bye-bye”. Would someone start the theme music to the Twilight Zone? Imagine this, a thread buried and long forgotten suddenly appears and it’s as though things never changed in 5 years. Welcome, to the Twilight Zone.
Maybe Ken should lock all the old threads. Maybe any thread that hasn't seen activity for over a year should be locked.
I actually like when some of the old threads pop back up as long as folks look at the dates especially when it comes to events and stuff like the Cody debacle. Word searches before starting a thread might bring up the old stuff and stops a lot of redundancy and makes it easier on Ken and Yvonne to keep the forum organized. People like Chrissy and Corie do not participate on the forum any longer but it’s good to re-read what they wrote. I see in this thread that Frank and I were having a good time which makes me smile. It’s rare that things like what happened in this thread occur so why change something that already works? When someone pulls up a link or reads a newspaper, aren’t they supposed to look at the date to make sure what they’re reading is what they want? So far as locking threads, the only time I can remember that happening in 5 years happened the other day when 2 threads were locked as they should be because like Ken wrote, no good was going to happen. Otherwise, if it works, don’t fix it.
I agree it is every poster's responsibility to read what the thread is about and see the original posting date before replying. I was rereading several old threads and when I ran across Steve's post and saw how it fit in with a post made a few months ago by the same poster and also current events, I couldn't pass up hailing Steve as a prophet. He was right on with his prophecies.
And, Holly, in the UK, hasn't been on here in a very long time. I know that Chrissy's dog died, sold her house in Fresno and moved to the coast into her daughters house (mother's quarters) and Holly continued to have physical problems with her back.
Oh Pooh! I barely know what today's date is. I not old enough to be responsible to know what date a post was made.
