Everyone thinks they have a sense of humor, but most don't. Improvisational and spontaneous are my favorite kinds of humor. True comedians are few and far between.

I would love to brag about how my husband thinks I am the world's funniest lady and the foremost mistress of sarcastic gray-shaded humor, but since he has been pushing up columbines in the Colorado Rockies for 50 years, I will stay mum regarding spousal comic admiration.

True pant peeing humor is unappreciated in today's world. I was at the new Oncaolgist yesterday for about two hours and he asked me about my colon cancer and how it was first discovered. I told him during a fun polyp removing session at the butt doctors. I couldn't think quickly what the guy is called other than a spelunking paparazzi with a medical degree so I said, butt doctor. He didn't crack a smile. He asked how much colon was removed.

"Well, I will tell you this doctor!!! Dr. Pazzi is a borderline racketeer. He removed one-fourth of my colon two years ago and then refused to give me a 25% discount on last year's exploration."

The doctor didn't smile. Even wearing a mask I could tell by his eyes. The nurse fought hard to contain herself and her eyes and muffled laugh was a dead giveaway that my humor was appreciated. So you see my new Oncologist that thinks he has a sense of humor, doesn't.

I like the humor of George Booth. He is a cartoonist for The New Yorker. I generally don't care for their cartoons. Maybe it's because I don't understand them, but it seems like they are often "inside jokes" meant only for a few.

George Booth: A Real New Yorker from Missouri

"Booth was born on June 28, 1926. His cartoons usually feature an older woman, or couple, beset by modern complexity, perplexing each other, or interacting with cats and dogs. A signature element of Booth's generally messy or run-down interiors is a ceiling light bulb on a cord."

His cartoons are just bizarre enough to be interesting, but not too much.

George Booth at a block party where he lives in Brooklyn, NY. I believe he was around 92 years old when this video was made.
