    I think there's a substance threshold that one crosses and then the preservative effect takes hold. You just gotta survive jumping the chasm.

    There's a story about how the song "Satisfaction" was written.

    Think of the intro notes that repeat throughout the entire song.

    Apparently the boys were sitting around one night and got fried. They came to the next morning and noticed that they left the tape recorder running. They rewound the tape and played it to see what was there. One of them--in his stoned state--had played those notes over and over and over for hours on end...just those stupid notes as he drooled on the frets. The rest--as they say--is history.
