Swirled rye and pumpernickel bread, ranch dressing and piece of fried fish. Chips and tea. That was tasty

In the area where I live Albert's started this idea of putting the cheese on the bottom and the sauce on top, it is become popular and a few other Pizza stores are now making it. It's the same ingredients as a regular pie, except the cheese and sauce swap positions. It does change the taste and texture of the pie.
I was out shopping and grabbed a Subway tuna sub. The service sucked horribly even though I was the only one in the place, but I figured that warm bodies keeping the doors open and the lights on were pretty much maximum expectations these days, so I resisted burdening the owner with it.
We had a delicious Greek style salad, and Bobby had some of his favorite huge hot dogs along with his. I used the food processor to slice the cucumbers , green pepper, onions, and tomatoes, and then made some Super Greens Rotini, and chopped up fresh spinach. Once I had put on the dressing, I added some feta cheese and sliced pepperoncini, so the salad had lots of good flavors. It is time to start thinking of more fall/winter foods, and I will be chopping up lots of veggies for soups; so the food processor is out on the counter again.
I went into The Big City this morning to have warranty work done on my car and ate at a Chinese buffet. It was pretty good...not quite what I would get outside of DC, but way better than the single Chinese restaurant in my rural county (sorry, Panda Garden.) I love me some Chinese food.
Today's lunch was homemade chicken salad sandwiches made with leftover oven stuffer chicken we had for supper the other night.
When I had my car serviced in Charlottesville a few weeks ago, I found a Chinese buffet just a block or 2 over from the dealership. I had my 3rd lunch there today. It instantly became a weekly thing. If I lived closer, I'd be there more often. I love me some Chinese food...maybe I have an MSG deficiency. I also like the buffets, where you can sample the appetizers without buying a full order of one item. They even have fried shrimp and calamari on it. What they lack in freshness they obviously make up for in variety. While these folks don't brew their own tea (kinda odd for a Chinese restaurant), they give me a teapot with hot water and 2 tea bags for only 50ยข. It's better than nothing, and the price is right. Maybe I should take in my own loose Chinese tea and a piece of cheesecloth to strain it through, and just ask for the hot water. Hmmm....
