It was one of my favorite games as a kid. We played for hours on end and some games went on for days. I still remember PARK PLACE as prime real estate & BALTIC as Cheapo. It wouldn't be a bad game for seniors here in assisted living to play.
So exactly what do the rules say about landing on Free Parking? Are you really supposed to put all that money for fines in the middle as a reward? I was in CVS the other day and saw a Monopoly Deal card game that said "Play In 15 Minutes!" I cracked up. Gone are the "Just shoot me" days of abuse at the hand of Parker Brothers. Thank you, Hasbro.
I never won and other players always picked on me wah wah wah I was never into board games that depended on luck. I like domino and some cards games on occasion.
Same here; I've always hated board games and I still do. My husband and kids all love games; he has a group of friends that have been meeting up to play Risk a few times a year for over 40 years. He also plays dominoes every weekend with a group at his sister's house. (No Monopoly, though. ) I'd rather read a book.
I think they play a few different games and they play for money. It gets quite cut-throat, lol. I'm not interested enough to ask what games they play; I just want a report on how much money he lost. HAHA
i am not much at board games i have played with the kids a few times----we use to play canasta and rook all night long when the kids were all home--then walk arround like a zombie the next day from lack of sleep
