I don't think he can be retried for the murder, @Mari North.

At least the Goldmans won the civil case.

Did any of you watch the Casey Anythony case? That's another one where I couldn't believe the verdict.

Yes... and there was the kidnapping and armed robbery that put him in jail... but there is something so dreadfully inherently wrong with him not being punished for something that has affected us all even this long after it happened.

OJ was a real piece of work. He obviously was a chronic abuser who went too far. i have no doubts that he did it. He didn't strike me as a grieving husband.

OJ cannot be re-tried, even if he confessed. The Goldman's won the civil case, but never got any of the award. I do think they got OJ's Heisman trophy but had to auction it to pay for the civil suit costs.

Yes and it's all very sad and pathetic. Think OJ made sure too that he had no assets they could collect.

Well now that just totally stinks. I can almost see him with that smug look of his confessing just to spit in society's face, knowing they can't do anything about it.

No, OJ Simpson can't be retried for murder. He could come out tomorrow and tell everyone that he did. But guess what the law couldn't come after him. As awful as it may sound to some it would be considered double jeopardy which is against the law in United States. If we change that to go after OJ it would be opening a can of worms because this could be used time and time again as an argument to retry someone else. So, as hard as it is to swallow he can't be retried for that charge, however, could he be charged with something else, that might be possible although I am not certain.
