Even though Radar appears to be much better, except for bowels, took him to vet today. His allergies are so bad vet says he needs food for sensitive stomach. Blood work and other tests came back normal. So has to be food issue. Anyway medicine and a food switch hopefully will help. Little guy really had me worried.
Hubby thinks Radar had some sort of stroke this morning. Said he could not stand up well , Radar has been snoozing ever since. Not unusual for him. So far the lump in his tail has not grown anymore. Things are piling up us way too fast
Oh my goodness hope Radar is ok ,we don't miss a day we don't talk about our Becky we lost last year.Beckys sister Molly who is 14 but a large dog scairs us like this morning she was not moving and I got sick feling im my stomach.But she is ok. Our dogs are like family.
That does not sounds good at all, @Hedi Mitchell ! Hoping that Radar is just having bad day because he is getting old, or something simple like that. If he has had a stroke, he might not be able to walk at all, so maybe just watch him and see if he gets over it. Sending prayers for you and Radar both !
Yesterday once again Radar clearly was not feeling well. Loose stool and had got sick in the bathroom floor. He was listless ,would not move out of his bed . I remembered back in Oct. the vet had given me a probotic to give hm. Helps with digesttion . Gave him a bit of that only one time. I was up today at 4:30 for some reason, my mind went to Radar wondering how much worse he would be today. Wow he was up tail wagging strong. He even came to recliner for me to put him up with me. He laid on his back, with paws lowered , butt toward my face. About an hour later I went to get up, and OMG is the only way I know to describe the atrocious odor that silently streaming from his itty bitty behind! Could he have eaten something that didn't agree with him? Miki gets diarrhea if she eats canned chicken breast.
: He is fine. I am having him wear shirts as good shedding is horrible and is making me have allergy issues.
This morning around 9: 30 we had to help Radar leave this life and get some relief from hacking, croaking and a host of other issues. He turned 15 , on August 15th. I have spent the last two weeks with him up all hours helping him to bathroom, and trying to console and relax him. He was a good dog, but a bit odd in some ways. He will be missed greatly. We now will focus our attention on Delilah. RIP Radar the Wonder Dog
I'm so sorry, Hedi. They are family and missed so much when it's their time to go. Just know you've done the right thing for Radar.
