My favorite all time camper,I cried for months everytime I saw a school bus, We had some great times in this plus it was safe. The day we were at the beach in the bus we got a standing ovation by some people eating at a beach front patio, they didn't think Shorty could make is through the loose sand exit,
Wwith covid I'll stick to my van and maybe a tent. I don't have to drag ,unpack suitcases because I have everything I need right at my fingertips, including my food and Coleman coffee pot and stove. We cn use power or just go primitive. But at the age we are now weather determines the trip.We can't be without heat or AC like we use to.
Yuck. You can have the bedbugs and half-cleaned room. (Don't think about what's on the bedspread.) I'll stick with our motorhome where I know how clean everything is.
when i was young...was always a "throw it in the truck..let's go "...type... we got a motor home....did lots...lots...enough for a lifetime....now... i camp at home...large campfires here...two seasonal huts...set up permanently....with electricity...for outdoor use....enough now
I hop hope to make a few o them bluegrass festivals...hillbillies we are...connoisseurs of bluegrass!
That sounds great! We take trips to the beach now and then or a ride down the river ut that is getting les fun as we age.
i get that!...i may never see the ocean again...I have some nice conk shells ....so...i put one close to my ear and listen to the soft roar of the waves...
I like to listen to conch shells. it is amazing how they do sound like off in the distance beach shore.
such a gracious person...you are...I hope y'all will get to make those enjoyable trips again one day soon.
Thank you Teresa, and I hope so too.I keep saying next week then it comes and goes and no trip. Mybe it will happen someday.
I knew a couple here who did the exact same thing for years and years. I'm not a connoisseur, but I do like bluegrass (it's one of my XM presets.) PBS here airs bluegrass every Sunday night recorded in Marion VA. That's about 3 1/2 hours from me. I'd have to spend the night, but it's not that far. I know the shows are not reruns because the audience is [sorta] masked.
yeah...we just pump it up here at home...or outside in the hut...we like ole times stuff...ralph stanley...bill Monroe...Carl story..oh..Scruggs and flatt..grandpa jones....I could stay right here and enjoy it all much more than traveling
