So, I go out of my way to look up a suitable image, transfer it to my photos then Hand write veteran on it, transfer it to this forum just to give you something to laugh at and it’s “patronizing”? If that’s the way you took it then it’s obvious you’re looking for stuff to complain about.
Oh, grow up Bobby! I made a factual post hoping to point out why my points are off in hopes of improving the forum and instead of you offering some insight, you post "here ya go" with that photo and the only way to take it is condescending. That may have not been your intention, but it was the result. So now instead of an intelligent response, you think it is obvious I am searching for things to complain about and label me a complainer in hopes of turning others against me.
Unfortunately, while I can adjust the names and the numbers, the points system is automated and unable to judge a good post from a bad one.
@Ken Anderson Can you please adjust my numbers to be correct? I would appreciate that. Yes, I know the quality of a post is one's personal opinion, and no way either you or a computer can judge that fairly. You have already told us many times what you would like to see in most posts and that is content in ones on words that leads to the discussion rather than copy and paste and the same post found on other forums. That is one of the reasons I participate in this forum.
I want no one to be against anyone and sometimes I even defend those who get their heads rubbed without reason. So I presented you with something I thought you could laugh at and then you come back with a disingenuous thanks and an insult and then further it with more complaining and insults in another post and say I’m trying to turn folks against you? Lady, I want no one to be against anyone on this forum and that means you as well so lighten up and laugh a little as I would have if the situation were reversed.
Why are points so important anyway? I don't think I ever start a post here and I also do not think it matters. There are a ton of subjects already that interest me, both past and present, that I cannot formulate something more original. Which is fine by me. Now, if points were to translate into money, then and only then would I brighten up and find some really interesting topics to put out there.
They aren't that important but a simple answer to my inquiry would have been appreciated before things got off track and my sincere inquiry because a topic for ridicule. If points aren't important to the success of this forum or to members, then why not do away with them? I don't care anymore and hope Ken removes this entire thread.
If you go back and read, in one of my responses I said, "that may have NOT been your intention, but it was the way I took it." I gave you that out, but instead of accepting it, you continue to put me down and lecture me in a belligerent way. I can see how you meant it as a joke and hope you can see how I saw it as condescending because I had the theme of the thread in mind and was inquiring what was necessary to achieve a veteran's status. When on the 1st that 10 points would have achieved that for me and my inquiry as to why it didn't was met with your "here ya go" and a photo of a metal with veteran written on it. Maybe funny to you and others, but I saw it as downplaying my concerns and you further added to that by labeling me as looking for things to complain about. Your responses come across as belligerent and arrogant. How did you determine my responses of, "Thanks for the thought patronizing as it is." wasn't a joke? You lit into me without giving any thought to maybe I met your joke with a joke. You lost your cool clear and simple. You said, "Lady, I want no one to be against anyone on this forum and that means you as well so lighten up and laugh a little as I would have if the situation were reversed." Well the situation was reversed and you weren't the cool cat you claim to be.
I really cannot comprehend why point should matter if this forum is a success or not. I didn't glean anything from Ken's explanation of points other than he hasn't any control over them. Which begs the question? Who has and why? Further, do they really matter at all, and if not, why bother with them? I just looked at mine. Laughable, and I couldn't care less.
