My guess is people are eating it in the store because they are hungry, or they empty it into something else so they can eat it later without paying. I'm guessing they don't have the money to buy it. I really don't know Joanna, never seen anyone actually do it, just see empty containers, boxes, packages of sandwich meat, etc. ;(
Oh. Kinda reminded me of a manager of a local convenience store a few years ago- an older guy- when there were no customers in the store late at night, he'd go to the ice cream section, eat a few spoons of ice cream from various containers and then close the containers so they could be sold. It didn't take long for him to get caught.
Oh man, I already won't eat at restaurants because of things I hear, and now, well, I don't do ice-cream anyway, but sometimes I sure wish I lived somewhere I could provide my own foods
