If we look back at the other videos, Kyle had more control both mentally and physically over his weapon than that idiot lawyer did. Having a weapon at the ready position is not even remotely against the law nor as dangerous as pointing a weapon (loaded or unloaded) at someone which by the bye, IS against the law. If we remember back to that couple who stood in front of their house with their weapons (she with a pistol and he with an AR-15) at the ready whilst BLM broke through the gates to the community, the couple was charged with [I believe ] assault with a deadly weapon. They didn’t even point the weapons but were charged so how is the lawyer getting away scott free? What I am super surprised at is that not one person said anything like “get that &^%$&^%$ weapon out of my face”! It’s just like the riots. No one said anything. No one was willing to stand up against what they knew was wrong. Just a bunch of wimpy people in suits who hide when abject evil confronts them.
If I had been on the jury, I would have stood up and said, "If you ever point a gun at me again, you are a dead man, you mentally unstable liberal nutjob!" I would be posting this from the jailhouse this morning, but at least I wouldn't feel like a big coward letting that jerk bully me around.
Is this the view? Found it in a FactCheck at the Newsweek site, along with the context of this action --- "Prosecutor Thomas Binger points Kyle Rittenhouse's weapon in court during closing arguments (it was checked to be safe/not loaded) as he demonstrates what was happening in the moments leading up to the first killing that night," CNN's Omar Jimenez tweeted from inside the courtroom. "At one point, Binger raised the gun himself and pointed it at a wall to demonstrate the way Rittenhouse brandished his weapon in Rosenbaum's direction, which, according to Binger, provoked the fatal clashes," The Guardian wrote. Additionally, the barrel of the rifle appears elevated to be significantly above the head level of seated members of the audience. . Apparently, some Redditers interpreted this action as direct intimidation by the state against the jurors, a threat that they convict Kyle T or else! And social media blew up all over the place! Here's the full article, which includes quotes from the trial transcript, of what the prosecutor was actually saying to the jury at that time.
CNN’s Omar Jimenez is an idiot too. The fact that Binger didn’t check the weapon himself, in the courtroom and in front everyone is the first issue and the second one is that he brought the weapon up to an assault and firing position. So far as Binger’s reasons for pointing the weapon, it could have very well been construed as a threat to the jurors saying that if the verdict wasn’t favorable to the prosecutor then there would be future repercussions from some bad guys. The sad part is that I’m sure the jurors were well informed that their verdict could change their lives as well.
No, the SAD thing is that you did not read the article, or even the very brief excerpt from it, choosing instead to deflect to the IQ of the CNN reporter. Even if you don't believe the CNN tweet, and give no credence to the directly-quoted trial transcript, the visual evidence clearly shows Binger aiming the gun at an unseen wall, at a point well above the heads of anyone seated in the courtroom. According to the article, the gun was checked in the courtroom by an arms specialist, and checked again by both the Defense and the Prosecution, and Binger himself, in the presence of the very finicky Judge. My point here isn't to say anything whatsoever about the eventual verdict that the jury will bring in, but to express shock and dismay at the way social media took this rather unimpressive demonstration and twisted it into an occasion for baseless outrage. If this is what our species has come to, we are all well and truly doomed!
I would never take any notice of what CNN says or does after their disgusting lies about the Covington boys and others and the millions they had to pay out for their lies.
An interesting fact is that his FATHER lives in Kenosha. He did not just go up from Illinois to join the fray.
Why are you focusing on the CNN reporter, instead of on the fact that someone on Reddit took this image out of context and distorted the event into some fantastical tale, for the sole purpose of creating baseless outrage?
I read somewhere that Kyle also had some connection with the particular business he went to Kenosha to protect? Dunno!

Yep, that is the view I saw in another video. I was said he had someone else clear the weapon as he didn't know how. He demonstrated that he had no real weapons training at all, and if I, like Bobby, had been on the jury, would have voted for acquittal just on the stupidity of the ADA and the disregard he had for other people's lives. My remark re: Alec Baldwin was referring to the fact that he, too, relied on someone else to make sure the gun wasn't functional, albeit the weapon in the Baldwin case was a much simpler one.
