I love the rain, Walking in a major downpour is something I've loved to do since teen years, and preferably done without rain gear, instead just getting soaked to the skin. It's just satisfying, although best done when it's not bitterly cold. One time I was with a friend from California, and it started to come down in buckets outside. I suggested we go for walk, and she looked at me as though I was completely out of mind. In fact she said as much but she went along with the idea anyway because she is cool like that. At any rate she had so much fun on that walk, didn't want to come home from it, and became a fan of the habit.
It got above 0 F. last Wednesday, but has been below since. Snow was originally predicted for yesterday but then was changed to today, then changed again to "a chance of light snow" for tomorrow. It has warmed up to only -4 F. at the moment, and clouds have moved in, so...who knows? It hit lows of -30 F. for several days. Even I am getting tired of the cold weather so early in the season. Sea ice has already formed all the way down the Bering Sea coast according to the NWS, but I'll be you don't see that covered on the news. That doesn't usually happen until late December., so we're about a month ahead of schedule if that is correct.
It was 21 degrees F this morning and in the low 40's now. Below freezing temperatures are predicted overnight for the rest of the week. If this keeps up, there will be safe ice for ice fishing next month. The freeze in the eddies has begun as the pic shows.
Very pretty; I'd put up our's but it will probably change by the time I type it up. I'm in Florida with lots of highs and lows.
It's 30 degrees right now. I just collected some decorations out of Sculpty and if I had been out there longer I'm certain I would be saying 'Man, it's cold outside!'
Another record breaker! 70 degrees on December 1. Sunny with a gentle breeze. After my 3 mile walk, I put up Christmas decorations still in leggings and a sports bra and that is a first in all my 71 years.
