Watching the first performance of the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas AND, Thomas-Mack Center stated that masks were required, but that "required" is most definitely NOT being enforced. Many, many folks in seats not wearing masks. So, just like here where we live, "required" sure doesn't mean "enforced"!
Don'tcha just love it? Churches closed but casinos open. Required not enforced. Pelosi, Biden and that WHO speaker before Congress not pulling up masks till they observe cameras observing them. Can we say 'crock' and 'agenda'?
I would be afraid of getting covid or other illnesses from eating buffets, touching gambling machines, touching drink glasses or bottles, and all those surfaces you will touch that won't be kept sanitary. Hotel rooms are far from sanitary. Be that as it may, life is short so I am glad you are doing what you enjoy and I hope you have a fun time @Cody Fousnaugh. No risk no reward as the saying goes and Las Vegas is all about gambling so spin the wheel wisely.
So, what about those that go into a grocery store and buy food? Not everyone does a Wal Mart or grocery store pick-up in the parking lot. Is everyone suppose to wear sanitary gloves every time the go somewhere for something? Anyway, for what's worth, both of us have been fully, and "fully" means, both original vaccines (me:Moderna, Herfizer), the Booster and the Senior High-Dose Flu. So, we're complete, but what that really means, really don't know for sure. A lady from a Colorado county here reportedly got the new Omicron Variant, had just got back from a trip to South Africa and was under quarantine. However, it was noted in the report that she did NOT get the Booster before going to South Africa.
So you'll get three shots and wear a mask, but you draw the line at gloves? Just wanting to see where "the line" is.
The CDC came out a while ago and said that this virus does not live all that long on surfaces as they originally thought. They also have no idea where the Six Foot Rule originated.
I believe the six foot rule came from the belief that that was as far as a droplet would normally travel. Aerosols came remain airborne for a couple hours, so the distance would not address them. All that was proven invalid during the H1N1 epidemic during the Obama years.
Good for them. When I ran an online newspaper, I had a writer who had been teaching English in China. He said that the way that people live their lives under the tight restrictions of the Chinese government is that they ignore most of the rules. Not allowed to dispute the law, but unable to live under such restrictions, they ignore the law. I think we're on our way to becoming China. I saw that in the airports and train stations. Despite signs everywhere and voice announcements giving the false information that federal law requires the wearing of masks, transit cops and security would walk past people who weren't wearing masks, ignoring them. Under our new Chinese system, if they want to arrest you, they can arrest you.
Masks were also proven ineffective during the H1N1 epidemic, as @John Brunner has said, and in the airports, you can "fudge" the rules by simply making sure you are eating. Masks cannot be worn while you are eating, although some try to wear them between bites. I guess the virus you take in while eating and drinking doesn't count or is inactivated by the food. Perhaps that is how the Elites get around the rules. When they gather in large numbers, food and, generally, alcohol is consumed in large quantities, so perhaps that clears the virus.
My wife and I just got back from getting our Pfizer booster shot. She was advised to take a Benadryl an hour and a half before she gets the shot, being she has a lot of allergies to antibiotics, and she's also taking chemo treatments. After the shot her veins in the arm she got the shot, raised, but but not as much as when she got the vaccine. I don't know if I'm getting a reaction but I got a very strong headache, and little difficulty breathing. I'll take some Advil & my inhaler. All in all it's not stopping us from functioning very minor reactions so far.
Here is some scary stuff. Notice that non-citizens and illegals are excluded from action. Detention of the unvaxxed in Washington state may become a reality, but if you are not a citizen, you are not covered, so legal and illegal residents won't be detained. Link
This is part of the Fed pretending to no longer be playing a role. This is all orchestrated from DC. These are test runs to let objections at the states level run through the courts so the Fed can craft legislation around the rulings. This is also the Fed suddenly getting a case of "state's rights" by telling people they are being inconsistent in their "we are a Republic" stance. Of course, that's an irrational childish contortion.
