Just joined up . Someone suggested I introduce myself so . I am 72 yrs/old retired civil servant , not married, no kids, live alone, in Ohio. Before arthritis I was an active type, outdoors, motorcycles, etc. Now ... not so-much. I do enjoy a few discussion groups and am interested in many things . Will try to learn my way around here .... before participating .
Welcome Ron from southern coastal Maine. I'm married(working on 63 years) had 5 kids(2 died) have 14 grands and at least 10 greatgrands.
Welcome to the forum, @Ron Beforee ! It looks to me like you are doing a great job of finding your way around the forum, but if you have any questions that i can help with, I am one of the greeters here, and will be happy to help out. I am an Idaho girl, now transplanted to Alabama. I do not miss the cold and snow, but i do miss living out in the country and having my horses.
Welcome Ron, from northern Colorado. Wife and I, in our early 70's, know what you mean by arthritis. I have osteoarthritis in both shoulders that came from rotator cuff surgery in each. I have to take a couple of meds for the pain. My wife gets it in her fingers. We will have one more summer of powerboating (20' Cuddy Cabin) and then, most likely, sell it. We do get winters here, which means snowstorms and even blizzards, but that's part of living on the Eastern Slope. However, we do have a Wii Game, bought 4 or 5 years ago. During the winter months, the games can keep our joints "loose". Never been married and no kids? Sounds just like my BIL (wife's brother).
Oh I was married once 53 years ago, but found [three years later] it was not for me .... so i made a correction.
Welcome for the rural part of Virginia, Ron. As Yvonne said, it seems you're finding your way around here OK. There's food in the fridge, the glasses are in that cabinet ^, and the bathroom's over there>. Make yourself to home.
The only really good people here are from Maine, except for Al; I'm not too sure about him. Welcome to the forum.
Now I'm mad!!!!!!! I'm going to pick up my toys and go home!!!!! But not before I say Welcome @Ron Beforee
