You might get the idea that these two dullard "do-gooders" think more of their lofty ideas than the safety and security of others, including their own children.
The carjackers -five- from Philly were caught; we'll see the woman' s reaction.. I bet she will be enraged.
I've posted before of a Congress Critter's 15 year old grandson being shot down for his tennis shoes in Chicago. While the Congressman (Danny Davis) did criticize the killers' actions at the memorial service, he also stated that the underlying cause of the homicidal behaviour was "lack of programs." He wanted a formal state of emergency declared for that region to open up the floodgates of more unaccountable funds to flow in. To some of these people, the death of a family member is less of a tragedy than it is an opportunity.
Enraged at the carjackers or enraged that they've been apprehended? In any case, her reaction shall be scripted by her PR person.
That's really what it is often about, isn't it? The opportunity for race-baiters and "wokesters" to get some "free money". That's probably what is behind Mayor Lightfoot's (a.k.a. Mayor Beetlejuice to some of my Chicago friends, black, white and tan.) to suddenly appeal for government help. She doesn't want help. She wants money for Chicago's silent mob, not for real law enforcement.
"Build Back Better" No one looks at the lives the shysters live and ask where their money comes from. This stuff is as AID given to a 3rd World Dictator...put the guy who receives our money in charge of fixing the problem, knowing that the faucet will be turned off once the problem is fixed. Gee, what could possibly go wrong?
Well, well, well...........the Congresswoman from Philly was interviewed today on the carjacking. She mentioned the fear she felt, the risk for the people / animals around; she made a extreme point of being scared to death. ALL BUT ONE OF THECRIMINALS WERE CHARGED AS ADULTS. At no point she said the carjackers should be interviewed by mental health professionals.
I just read this morning that carjackings are up 510% in major U.S. cities. At the top of the list according to the Daily Mail are Chicago, New York and Philadelphia. As you might suspect, they'll be blaming this on the guns instead of causal factors like bad parenting, indirect encouragement to commit crime by police and prosecutorial inaction, poor schooling, etc. When driving in or around larger cities, keep your car doors locked, folks, and be aware of the situations where carjackings occur most often.
Car Insurance is always the first to go sky high when thugs are in more plentiful supply. I can remember back in the 70s the first time Insurance companies had become directly involved with manufacturing by threatening the makers to do something about the GM fancy hubcap thievery. The manufacturer blinked and made that silly locking key for all high dollar cars hub cabs. The rest is history and I am sure the Insurance companies are making huge profits using that theft excuse to jack up cost again.
