Since my wife is working, were going to have a better Christmas than if she wasn't. New: Deep Fryer, Bath Towels, Comfy Foam Toilet Seat (for wife), Toaster Oven and a few other "needed" things. But, one thing we did decide to get was a Henry Lever-Action .22 Rifle. Earlier this year, we sold our Remington Express Shotgun and Winchester Lever-Action 30-30 Rifle to a gun store. The range we will be going to, doesn't take shotguns or bigger than a .22 rifle. This Henry rifle will be the last firearm we will buy. And, no more putting using a mouth thermometer to check temperature, because, again, for Christmas, we bought, from Amazon, a handheld/battery operated digital thermometer. The "point at forehead and pull trigger" type. So, are you getting any really nice Christmas gifts this year?
So, nobody gets any really nice Christmas gift/gifts from their spouse or other family member? Along with a few other gifts, we gave our relatives $25 gift cards (10 of them). I'm sure they really liked that.
Don't dare and tell SIL (wife's sister) that we bought a Henry rifle! First thing she would say to us is, "why?". She is very much against firearms of any kind. Then, if we also told her that we bought another jar of CBD Gummies and a jar of CBD Deep Rub, again, she would say "why?" Every time she thinks about CBD, she thinks people are getting "high".
When she gets weary, Women do get weary, Wearing the same old shabby dress…. So when she gets weary, Buy her another shabby dress….. So I got her a night shirt….
Since I have almost no family to give gifts to or get from, I have been buying myself something for Christmas the last several years. I’m still looking for this year.
In reality, the very best gift my wife will get this year is when her daughter, Robin, arrives this Christmas from the Netherlands. Kinda wondering if one of the names of one of the pilots flying her back here is Santa or Kris.
Just learned, thru some online research, the Henry brand rifle was used by both the Cheyenne and Sioux Indians on their attack of Lt. General Custer at the Little Big Horn.
I done this for darn near 21 years that I was single/divorced. It really seemed like I couldn't meet, or keep, a gal before the Christmas/New Years holiday to get a gift from.
I enjoy giving gifts far more than receiving them. I try to buy my wife things she would like but wouldn't buy for herself due mostly to price. One of the things I get her that she seems to appreciate most is a gift certificate to a local spa. That way she can pamper herself in whatever manner she chooses.
My long-time friend from Idaho sent me this picture of the snow out there right now. She said that the tractor was her Christmas gift from her husband last Christmas . Now, in my estimation, this counts as a REALLY NICE Christmas present !
Very nice Kubota tractor! But, I am much more of a John Deere (love the color of green), Massey Ferguson and New Holland man. My folks had an IH (International Harvester) and neighbor had a Case IH.
Thought the Henry wouldn't come in until Monday, but got a nice e-mail saying it was ready for pickup. Have it here for Christmas morning! Very nice rifle that my wife can shoot. Fairly light weight, very easy to use lever-action. Much lighter than the Winchester Lever-Action 30-30 we had and much easier to use the lever-action on the new Henry. And, I did tell SI (wife's sister) that we got it. I figured that it's our Christmas present, not hers. If she doesn't like that we got it...........too bad!
