Right now, 7:30AM (MT) here, it's 9 degrees. Got to go out in it to get Dunkin Donuts coffee.

One of my kids is an ex Denverian. She watched in horror as the weather indicated up to 90 mph winds there after the tornadoes in Kentucky.
It was very windy here, then, too and our power went out. We have the majority of the lamp oil over at the farm but we have candles and flash lights. I wish my family would take heed and prep. The snow is all gone here and it is actually warm for December. 20's

14 F. and snowing lightly. Wife says we should be out in t-shirts after several weeks of well below 0 F., but I ain't up for it. I do enjoy the warmer temps though.

Rain that's supposed to turn to spitting snow in a few hours. We're supposedly on the edge of a "winter storm" north of us. Where I grew up in the midwest, we called these things snowfalls not winter storms as reported by seemingly-anxious, breathless reporters.

New Year’s Day, and it is almost 80 here (79 to be exact, and says feels like 81)!
However we are under a tornado watch for late afternoon and tonight, and by tomorrow night, we have snow in the forecast and 28 degrees, so we will be going through a strong weather change today.
I wonder if this is an example of how 2022 is going to be like ?

I was going to ask you if you had any tornados in your area. The town we used to live in in Georgia had one go through yesterday. We are in a high wind watch and there is a blizzard warning in place just to our east. We are pretty well sheltered, so there isn't much wind at our location. The sun is now rising about 10:00 AM and setting around 4:30 PM, but the sun is so low on the horizon that there is only a couple hours of real daylight where we are. We are gaining over 2 minutes of daylight every day, so soon things will be brighter. The snow cover helps a lot. Next week is predicted to be bitterly cold, so we will see how that goes. If it hits -40, it will mean we are back to a normal winter after a couple years of slightly warmer winters. Our current temp is +6 F.

We were in the 80's today but it's supposed to drop 50 degrees into the 30's tonight! Sheesh.

We set a record high today but tomorrow and Monday will be a different story.

"Some rain with some wet snowflakes mixed in remain possible early in the day then clearing late and quite cold after the long stretch of 70s we've acclimated to. Highs in the mid 40s. Cold air chasing moisture is not a snowy set up for NC, instead we typically need the cold air here first. While the flakes will be fun to look at for some snow lovers, they are not likely to cause any significant travel concerns with very warm ground temperatures ahead of the event."

Yvonne, we've seen that kind of weather pattern here in Colorado as well. One time, when we lived here before, a snowstorm hit on a Sunday for two days. The following Thursday, a very warm front came in. So warm, the local lake boat ramp (launch/retrieve) docks were put back out on the water. It was very funny to see, after a big snowstorm hit one weekend, to see boats out on local lake the following weekend.

This morning, at 7:45AM, we were at -2 degrees. I can hear someone outside using a snow shovel to try and scrap the ice off of the sidewalk where snow has been removed. We got some 6-8 inches of snow from Friday AM until yesterday AM. And, from future forecast, looks like possibly more snow coming in on Wednesday.

It's still, gray, gloomy and overcast with rain last night. It was in 50s the last couple days but we get back to reality tonight with a low of 23F tonight. At least we'll be getting some sun next week.

+5 and very windy here. Most of the area has been without power all night. Fortunately, we have not lost power, as it gets uncomfortable at these temps with no heat. I could get the generator started, however, if necessary. Wife has gone to see if the church has power. When the wind stops, the real temperature will drop dramatically.
