What do you think of these: TV·Ears® Dual Digital™ - TV Ears - Voice Clarifying Products, Hearing Aids Yesterday, my wife was watching one of our DVD movies. Sometimes the sound was so low, she had our turn up our soundbar and, even without my hearing aids on, the sound was getting pretty loud. A tv getting overly loud isn't what residents in apartment complexes like. So, I decided to start looking online for something like these TV-Ears. They are highly recommended and it sure would beat turning up and down the volume on the soundbar. The sound control is on the "ears", so no other sound control needs to be touched. What do you think?
Glad you brought this up. I do not know but will check it out. I thought it was just me with sound issues since I wear HA's. But we have noticed the difference sound volume on different channels and shows. You check and i will check see what comes up.
I've never used them but my sister swears by them. She got them for my brother-in-law, who used to blast everyone out of the den with the TV.
I use the sound bar and captions. Sometimes it is not the volume, but the sound processing that makes it sound louder. @Faye Fox will know what I am talking about, as others may as well.
I used to have a TV with an audio out jack to which I plugged in ear phones as to not disturb others. Now that I live here alone, I just crank up the volume through an amp if needed like with DVDs.
If anyone else can click on the website I proved and tell me what you think, it would be helpful. Thanks!
Well, if we got them, and note the word "them" as two/set, TV-Ears website is the cheapest for a set. Then again, there are hundreds of products out there that get great reviews (5-stars) and poor reviews (1-2 stars). Guess it's left up to the consumer what they want to believe. Buy then, don't like them, send back for full refund. But, to find something can be very difficult. And, to keep turning up and down the volume on a remote, can become a PIB (pain-in-the-butt) also.
So, I guess the real question is........do any of the forum members having a problem hearing their tv and have to turn up the volume rather loudly?
Guess if you live in a house, that's ok. Have you ever given it thought about getting something to hear your tv with better, like these TV-Ears?
I tried a couple of things years ago to give my wife a break....nothing ever satisfied so I held remote in my hand. Haven't lived in an apartment since the 60s
Just order a pair of TV-Ears. If they don't work good enough for us, will just send back for a refund. But, last night, we were watching program we recorded and I had to have my hearing aids almost all the way up in volume and the tv volume was up so my wife could hear/understand what the actors were saying. Just hope these TV-Ears work for us. Both getting tired of asking the other, "what did they (actors) say?" Will let the thread know how they turn out.
