True. Mankind has yet to build anything that can fit within the parameters of perpetual motion.

I have no time to read thru the entire thread today. If I am being redundant , let me know.
For some reason recycling has been on my mind and it has nothing to do with news media.
For years I have filled old Folgers plastic coffee cans with grease, shrimp shells etc. Not sure how I am going to handle that yet, but am a work in progress at the moment.
This morning my very old electric toothbrush stopped working after re charging. Dang i hate throwing this in trash . So I looked what could be done. Certain things like the toothbrushes- any of them along with toothpaste containers and dental floss containers are hard to recycle. But Braun and Colgate have
a program where you can send all of this to them to be recycled by them https://www.electricteeth.com/oral-b-recycling-progam/
So I will be saving up some of these things and send to them. :)

Well now, what do we have here?
Apparently a man was quite upset that his Tesla S quit working. Not necessarily upset about it not working but rather that the fix was a new battery pack costing around 20K Euos which, for the year of the car, was worth more than the car itself.
He could sell it for parts or maybe sell it as a non-working vehicle but nope, he decided to blow the whole thing up so he contacted a European YouTuber who is famous for blowing things up and here ya have it; Boom!

No one is certain just how old Earth really is. I find it confusing to think I just happened to be born when it was time to worry about man fouling the air. How much do you think our ozone layer is damaged each time we punch a hole with a rocket today. We have a new space telescope launched the other day and in 6 months we should be getting some photos. This telescope can see into the first moments of space. I hope I can live long enough to see that because they say it will possibly see other planets that might have life, of course they can tell by watching movement in time so don't laugh.

When the government or very wealthy people do it, there is no damage to the environment.

So, ya live in sunny California and are all in about going green. You decide to go solar for your home and get all the information, sign contracts and then finally, have your new solar panels installed and are almost fossil fuel energy free in regards to your abode.
    Life is good.
No more electric bills from your utility company and you know that after you’ve paid off the solar panels you will be standing in money from all the savings.

    Uh, not so fast.
It would seem that utility companies nor the state make any money off of energy independent people so they decide to propose a bill to tax solar users 8 bucks per KW. No more of this, “I can sell energy back to the state” stuff. Nope, you gotta pay to play no matter what you do and using SOL in California is gonna get you burned one way or the other.

I think we already have that, at least for the babies.

Ok, for real now, I have utilities (included in rent) but I am "always" conscious of the use of my electricity, and water. I recycle, and think I may be the only one, at least on my "floor" of the building. I also read the labels, I don't just ass'ume things are recyclable, and I wash out jars, especially plastic ones that are "too hard" for some to bother with like Mayonaise, peanut butter.

I don't put returnable jugs, or bottles/cans in the recycle, I put them in a special bin so those in need can turn them in for cash. Lots of people do that here I'm glad to say. I also use bio-degradable products wherever they do the job. I'm not perfect at this, but I really make the effort to try things. I do think about the children, even though I have none. I'm responsible to those that will be here long after I'm gone.

I find myself envying those who have property, and stay busy caring for it and your animals, being more self-sufficient, and to keep using your muscles ;)

Somewhere I posted about a lady who started making bricks out of plastic which still seems innovative and productive as well.
Tonight as I was paging around on YouTube looking for some lecture or maybe just some entertainment and behold, we have a guy who lives on what appears to be some Pacific island and turns plastic into diesel fuel.
I do know that I’m going to study it a lot further……

    Gotta check it out…..

Bobby, didn't watch the vid, but petroleum is one of the ingredients that plastic is made from. Does he reverse that process or something?
