In a moment of weakness I indulged in self pity and discouragement, neither of which is helpful or will change anything. I have not felt this way since my wife died 9 years ago, I did not want to climb that mountain back then any more than I want to climb the mountain today, it was too big back then just as I see it too big today. But I realize time to put the rubber to the road, peddle to the metal, and other pithy saying to get off my ass and actually do something to change, I survived my lose back than just as I will survive now. Making a plan or figuring out how is another thing.
Don't get overwhelmed by the big picture, Samual. Just make small changes (cut back on carbs, walk a little bit) and go from there. We all have some challenges at this time of life. You can do it!
