1-Stop bitching about people in your apartment complex.
2-Stop bitching about the t-shirts you see.
3-Stop bitching about tattoos, regardless of how objectively offensive they might be.
    4-Let your SIL be herself.
5-Stop bitching about people going maskless unless you can put forth an adult opinion as to why they should wear them in the first place (and "following the rules" does not qualify.)
5a-If you walk into Golden Corral while wearing your mask and you smell the food, your mask is not stopping a virus.

Do that for a while, then we can talk about the uncomfortable things you are avoiding by being so fixated on others (and we all agree, life is full of uncomfortable things.)

We are unhappy (and angry and scared) because our nations and our liberties and our personhoods are being openly stolen from us worldwide, so we have a right and a duty to be angry and to fight back.

You are worried about our reaction to having those things stolen and the discomfort of the conflict we create by not being submissive, yet you never put forth a first-person personal opinion on any of it. You are not stupid...you just might benefit from taking a shot at looking at the data as you understand it and discussing it here. Toes will get stepped on, but at least there's the opportunity for us all to learn from each other. You have the capacity to be more of a participant rather than someone who just reacts to others.

I so agree with this one and learned the words "you cannot reason with an unreasonable person". I think we've seen a lot of the "death of reason". Not only that, but too many are no longer, if they ever were, teachable. In my opinion, the day I stop admitting I can still learn something, is that day I am just closing myself off from gaining any knowledge. The real "brain exercise" is weeding out truth from lies for me!

I've commented about 2 people I've had overt conflicts with over this stuff. Both of them raised the issue. I prefer to avoid it.

#1 was a retired nurse. When she learned I wasn't vaxed, I told her I didn't really like discussing hot-button topics. She lied and said "I'm just curious." So I told her I was still on the fence, I've not seen enough data, I'm not sure about the risk/benefit, etc. She replied with "Get your will ready. Get your will ready. Get your will ready. Get your will ready. Get your will ready. Get your will ready. Get your will ready. Get your will ready. Get your will ready. Get your will ready. Get your will ready. Get your will ready. Get your will ready. " She must have repeated it 50 times.

I interrupted with "You said you were a nurse. You likely have insights I don't have that caused you to decide to get the shot. I'll listen. What were your reasons?" She responded: "Get your will ready. Get your will ready. Get your will ready. Get your will ready. Get your will ready. Get your will ready" ad nauseam. It was weird. As she walked away, she got another shot in: "If we had people like you around 50 years ago, we would still have polio." I still have no idea why I did not backhand her. The urge has not subsided.

#2 was a retired teacher. She started talking about the 800,000 COVID deaths. I replied with "Sure, if you count motorcycle drivers who got decapitated while sliding under a truck who then test positive..." She replied with "No no no no no no no no no" in rapid succession. She may as well have stuck her fingers in her ears and gone "Lalalalalala." Then she called me an "anti-vaxxer." So ended a conversation with one of our nation's educators.

The frightening thing is that if Biden and Faucci went on national television tonight and fessed up that the whole thing was a scam...that COVID was just a strong flu bug and the rest of the hysteria was fabricated...there would still be tens of millions breaking down the doors of clinics demanding more jabs and screaming at the guy in the car next to them to "Mask Up, jerk!!"

Those are extreme examples, and TOTALLY believable John. People's minds are what need to be vaccinated because this kind of behaviour towards those who dare to disagree are under the influence of something, or someone that is totally corrupt.

It should be obvious. Fix the problems - rampant inflation, high taxes, broken supply chains, stop paying people not to work, stop illegal immigration, encourage the return of manufacturing to the U.S., get people back to work, stop the covid nonsense (e.g., in case you haven't noticed, masking and vaccines don't work), elect people to office who show fiscal and social responsibility, stop the slide towards communism, redirect the government away from being a nanny to what the founders intended (i.e., protect the rights of people to pursue life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness). I could go on but that should be enough for you to mentally chew on, should you be so inclined.

    Profound at the very least!

I saw a man at the convenience store the other day who was wearing a pair of untied tennis shoes with bright purple super long laces.
I hadn’t really paid much attention to him or the condition of his shoe laces until he let out an expletive when he obviously tripped on them which might have made him fall had it not been for a shelf to grab on to.

Now, I could have asked him if he needed someone to tie his shoes for him but surely, at his age he should know how or at the very least he could have tucked the laces into his shoes. Maybe he was physically challenged?
No, there has to be another reason because I saw him bend over to grab a bag of chips.

The bottom line is as Ken wrote. The solution to the problem was simple. All he had to do was to tie his shoes to keep from tripping but obviously that solution wasn’t good enough or somehow evaded his mental abilities for indeed, he did nothing but to shuffle his feet so as to not step on his laces again.

There are times when it is good and almost charitable to offer up a solution to a problem to help someone out but then again, there are also those times when you just know that whatever offer you might make will fall upon deaf ears.

This brought up a thought in my head, which is a miracle in itself since I haven't had my coffee :D:p but I don't recall having more than one polio vaccine, or smallpox. I think those were the only ones I got? I never had polio, nor any of the people I knew, and no one had smallpox. So why, with all of the technology we have today, can we not get it right the first time on this Covid, and, it's variants popping up? I will just say it outloud, is biological-warfare being considered, did I miss that?

I googled trying to find how many times we were to be vaccinated back when I was a kid, and the leader of the pack, CDC website popped up with 4 Vaccines recommended, all for children I think it was 2 years old through 6, something like that. Is that nowadays, I don't know, or was that back in the 50 when I got mine. I just took a glance is all at the article.

I don't like to sound like a cheerleader, but that reply of yours @John Brunner, sums up perfectly the year 2021 imo!! Everything that was done good for this country by the 45-administraton has been torn down as if it were the plan all along, and I think it was. A lot for someone to gain for doing it?

Edit: This is a long article on Vaccines, I haven't read all yet, but it's something I am super interested it so I will. Thought I'd go ahead and share it, but I'm betting someone out there knows a lot about this already ;) https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/vpd/polio/public/index.html

Trying to vaccinate against influenza (i.e., covid is another form of the flu) may be like trying to take a very slow shot at a fast moving target. Polio and smallpox were comparatively stationery targets of lesser complexity. Anyway, that's what it looks like from here.

I never thought about that so thank you John. I know just from this Covid-bomb, they changed their info on how it is transmitted a few times. I don't expect anyone to learn about something like this within a day or two (CDC etc.) but I do expect honesty, and yes, put enough "hope" in their information to try and avoid panic in the streets. But this seemingly constant change of tunes, conflicting information, and outright denial (lying) of what they've done or haven't done has taken away any confidence I did have in doctors, CDC, and definitely any hope 46-administration might possibly do way better for our country than they have :(

Regarding the polio vaccine...there is an article on the NIH website that the oral polio vaccine actually infected children with polio, crippling them for life. It happened in the 1950s when the vaccine was rolled out, and it crippled American children with polio they contracted from the vaccine every single year through the 1980s and the 1990s. If you search "polio vaccine injured children" on DuckDuckGo you'll see it's still a present-day issue throughout the world (India and Africa) with recent reports by ABC (hardly right-wing) that more children are currently contracting polio via the vaccine than by any other means.

I am just beginning to understand that faith in vaccines (even the real ones) is highly misplaced. My understanding regarding America's success in eradicating polio is that the modernization of our water supply and sewage systems were a (the?) main cause, not the vaccine.

Another truth we didn't and won't see on Mainstream Media, or hear out the mouth of the "Big Pharma drug pushers". Edit: Just read your link John, and I thought we had issues with vaccines. I can't describe the words I am thinking in my head right now, I'd be kicked off this forum  I would ask WHO, just "who" are their partners but I wouldn't get a truthful answer. Meanwhile, poor people don't get a vaccine for polio that only the wealthier can afford?? Human guinea pigs :(

We are being victimized by a propaganda campaign that would make the Nazis very jealous. They didn't have social media or TV, but their use of radio and print was similar to how the administrations in Democrat-controlled areas and D.C. are copies of the Himmler doctrine. Does being rounded up and shipped to camps sound familiar to anyone???

The more we comply with unreasonable "bills" that "do" get passed by this government, the closer we get to repeating a horrific part of history.
