Whatever happened to the good old days when a thread about leaving the forum stayed on topic and drew comments of sympathy and sarcasm? All the different innovative ways of saying, "please don't go" or "you will be missed" or "don't let the door smack you in the ass" or just plain "adios." All this talk of repurposing Crisco and breaking dentures on titanium hard candy that is being misunderstood for cooking in assisted living resulting in arson and soft gummy kiddie candy has me confused. What was the resolution to the printer failure and inability to post photos via a smartphone connection? How did the printer repair resolve the problem? Forgotten passwords and the inability to login to an old "Hal" account with new passwords issued but not used, is confusing because the Harold account is active, however, we cannot address Mr. Crisco as Harold, we must return to the Hal of old yet his profile clearly says, Harold. The rejection of Harry Horse added to the confusion and the lack of a profile photo barechested with a Tommy gun leaves me to think Hal did in fact leave the forum for good. I refuse to address this new Harold as Hal. I will refer to him as The Crisco Kid.
My sincere apologies! I see now the Crisco kid got his name changed to Hal and the old photo is back. Welcome back @Hal Pollner! I think it is time to remove that eye patch.
I thought the exact same thing when I was typing my gum comment. But (a) the topic title is sorta vague and inaccurate, and (b) the Original Poster drug it off-topic when he started talking about not being able to upload pics due to a broken printer. So I posted my comment. And I shall always maintain that you cannot have a forum for seniors and not expect members to meander...it's what we do. Anyone who does not post off-topic is lying about their age.
you know, I can see "getting" a post back on track but what the hell if a few of us have some fun along the way. Some of you act like you have a broomstick where it shouldn't be simply because that party didn't enjoy playing your game of charades, we cut loose and out of hand, and the latter is my kind of party.
