Very good points, @Joe Riley , and these are things that I have also wondered about. Another thing is that all of the Kennedy’s were Catholics, and they would never have wanted a cremation rather than a burial, even if there was not a whole body to put in the casket.
Some of the pictures show the bodies as almost looking like “dummy bodies” like you would use for a first aired class, which makes me also wonder about the possibility that JFK Jr, faked the death of him self and his family.
The theory with that is that only the trained pilot was on the plane before it was crashed into the ocean and the pilot was able to escape, and was later picked up and never acknowledged after that.

And yes, this IS the conspiracy section of the forum where any and all topics that pertain to conspiracy and the paranormal are intended to be discussed. Definitely keep asking those questions !
I try to just ignore the people that come to the conspiracy section to complain that the thread is just a conspiracy. There are enough of us who enjoy the discussions and have an open mind to listen to the possibilities.

That's why I suspect I may be way off ? What is this I read recently about the fuel valve beng turned to [off] when the plane was found ? Could that have happened on impact ? Or ?

The whole damned thing is just about as suspicous as his father's death.

Yes, and allow answers to be posted to the questions asked. In cases such as this, the application of Occam's Razor can be helpful, if not enlightening. Remembering that the Kennedy's strove for media attention, creating a bit of mystery around JFK Jr.'s death would serve that purpose.

I respect Cyril Wecht's opinion. He is world-renowned as a forensic pathologist, but I didn't see that he performed the autopsy. @Yvonne Smith is correct in saying that Catholics generally don't want to have cremation performed, so that also encourages the idea that there may have been some kind of cover-up. Wecht would certainly have confirmed the identity of the bodies involved.

Catholics today have no objection to cremation at all.

Twenty years ago, Ted Kennedy would have been the leader of the family and as such responsible for creating quite more than a "bit of mystery". He was in his usual "Wizard of Oz mode", keeping that curtain closed. I don't know who would be in that position today.

I just read that the airport people, to this day, report the weather as having been normal or even good. It may have been the FBI who falsified that. I don't know what to believe.

The weather wasn't IFR, but JFK Jr. was late taking off and I believe it got dark. Devoid of visual references over water in the dark, without an instructor holding his hand and no IFR training; augering into the ocean would be a likely result of a probable bout of spatial disorientation.

The Church doesn't, but they discourage sattering the ashes, but most old time Catholics I know still prefer burial.

    .
You probably recall that Ted Kennedy was badly injured in a plane crash and had an old brother and sister who died in plane crashes. Some say bad luck. Others say they weren't the brightest bunch. Luck is what you make it. Ted did have a penchant for stupid and egregious behavior and covering things up.

The weather over the Atlantic was deteriorating in the New England area, and yes, it definitely was getting dark. His sister in law was delayed and that didn't help matters.

But, I do not think he was assassinated at all. He posed no threat to anyone since he really wasn't politically motivated. His mother saw to that.

Even if we have the answer, so what?
It is too old cold case file that if finally solved, the people involved in the case most likely dead. Most people do not even care anymore.
I get it you want answers to solve puzzling facts, info, but even if you get that, I do not think anyone involved is alive to be taken before a grand jury.

This thread is in the Conspiracy section of this forum. It is basically for discussion of things that no one can definitely prove either way, like discussing the possibility that JFK Jr was murdered because he was running for the same political seat that Hillary Clinton was running for. Or possibly, he faked his own death and that of his family, to prevent the Clinton machine from assassinating him, and has been in hiding all of these years.
Even if it had been provable that the Clintons had Kennedy killed, they would never have been tried for the crime, any more than they have been tried for any of the other people they have had killed or suicided.

One reason people still care is because this was not an isolated crime. If it's true that he was assassinated, it is part of a pattern of crime committed by the same cabal, going back many years in order to protect their power and wealth.
