I don't care much for the online surveys because I never can trust if it's legit or not. The only ones I'll do is to help good "customer Service" reps either on the phone, or on things like reviews I'll do when I get a good product off Amazon etc.

Walmart sends me a survey request whenever I order something online. They used to send me one when I shopped at the store, but I now use a different card when buying in the store so they no longer know that it's me. I always fill out the surveys...every one is a chance to win a $1,000 Walmart card (or cards of lesser value.) I've never won anything.

I used to get a survey every time I went to Longhorn Steak house and after doing them for 10 or so years thinking that I might win $1000, I finally gave up. I will say however that any time I mentioned something amisss in the service that that would send me a gift certificate.

Arby's use to put their fixin's out so you could help yourself...ketchup and sauces in the bulk pump containers, and onions in a big bin with tongs. At some point they stopped. The condiments now come in the tiny packages, and when you ask for onions, you get 2 skinny rings in a little plastic cup. I like a lot of onions (and horseradish) on my roast beef. It takes at least 5 or 6 of those cups for a single sandwich for me.

So I went in one day and asked for more onions, and they wanted to charge me! As most of us know, Arby's ain't cheap. I'll be darned if I'm gonna pay those prices and then get charged for onions. When I got home, I sent an email to the customer service folks. I don't think I've ever done that before...I'm not a complainer (except that one time at Bennigan's.) That same day I got an apologetic response from the owner saying that she would fix the problem in the store, and I got a coupon for a free meal.

I had a similar experience with Bennigan's and got a coupon for 2 meals. I was gonna send it back and ask them why they thought giving me free meals at a place whose food sucked and had poor hygiene was their idea of compensation, but I just let it go.
