I have heard two trucks so far this morning struggling to move forward on what looks like 4-5 inches of snow. I'm sure there will be others and it's still snowing at 18 degrees. Most of the snow are drifts from yesterday's wind.
29 F clear starry early morning sky. Hopefully, we will have a sunny day. At least the 3-week long inversion has lifted.
Sounds like Big D got hit and photos from a cousin in San Anton don't have me packing my bags and heading for Texas. The clear morning here led to another overcast cold day and not warm sunshine as I hoped.
It was in the low 40s here today, which felt like spring, with snow melting all over the place. It must be getting cold now though because the furnace keeps coming on.
I saw DAFFODILS today ! ! Not ours, but down the road where they have a sunny yard. Now, that is a good sign that spring is going to happen. (Blooming daffodils, not just the plants) We have hyacinth emerging, which is an early spring sign for our yard.
6 inches of new snow today and temps in the upper 20s F. It is supposed to snow the rest of the week. Plowed then took the snow machine (mobile) for a short spin around the property.
Almost 40 right now at 8 in the morning. Almost 70 yesterday. and some sort of tree out in the front starting to bloom
Yesterday at 7AM, 14 degrees. This morning at same time, 12 degrees. Didn't get nearly as much snow as expected from last storm. About 3 inches. This coming Sunday, high will be 55 degrees, then, after that, the bottom really, really falls out. Next week, snow, but not a lot. But pretty frigid temps, like -7 on Tuesday AM. Looks like we will be in our apartment all of next week! Basically, the only thing that can handle this weather, temperatures and my shoulder osteoarthritis pain is a 50mg Tramadol along with an 800mg Ibuprofen at 9AM.
And we had our typical Alabama version of your Texas weather, @Beth Gallagher . It was over 70+ yesterday, dropped like an iceberg overnight, and is now 33/feels like 24. At least when i look at the 10 day forecast, it looks like the very coldest days of winter are over, and we are starting to get some warmer days that are at least close to 70 occasionally. We missed the worst of the storms that went through yesterday, didn’t even hear any thunder here, just wind and heavy rain.
