Back about 20 yrs ago, an optomotrist told me: get ready for cataracts....I said oh no and jumped into my research and eye supports and so far I'm good and hardly see an eye doc. No eye diseases and the same reading glasses I got about 15 yrs ago. What I take daily: Extra Vit C (spread over the day) D3 (was found very low in 2006) Grape Seed Extract (taking about 26 yrs soon) Lutein Cineraria Maritma Homeopathic Drops for Cataract prevention) Wear sunglasses a lot when outdoors. If I can avoid any kind of surgery, I will.
Researching testimonies and evidence available since 1930's or so, "eye disease" is big business, huge profits. (like cVd today). Most people don't take the time to seek the truth/research for themselves. They believe the wrong people, trust the evil leaderships in place, and suffer for it, and their families and friends and neighbors suffer also, those who 'go along' with the government/ doctors/ public. Those who seek the truth and research it, like you, can for the most part remain free of diseases and the consequences/side effects. It is a lifetime of seeking truth, not just a few years or decades. .https://www.buzzfeednews.com/articl...battle-big-pharma-instead-it-runs-white-house ============================ Noting > quote: Back about 20 yrs ago, an optomotrist told me: get ready for cataracts.. and so the establishment everyone is supposed to depend on says. It is happening a lot, of course, as people not only believe them but live every day as if it is truth. Eye doctors for almost a century have published how to have 20/20 vision without glasses and without surgery or drugs. The books and research and so on is still available to those who look for it, but it is uncommon in the untied states (and other countries too?) to find anyone who cares for the truth enough to seek it, and to deny the establishment confidence in what they say. 20/20 vision is 'normal' for a healthy individual, and can be maintained and recovered if needed in most cases. One eye doctor offered his challenge/services/ to all the other eye doctors to send their patients to him and see the results. (100% btw) From , at the time, simple eye exercises. Surprised? The current today eye doctors and establishment supports falsehoods for money. They have done this for all of our lives and most of our parents lives. (i.e. a long long time) Thus from birth on indoctrination in the established ways, resulting in more loss, more trouble, huge cost un-necessarily for common folk. No eye diseases. Good to learn.
Well, Joy, no matter what some people will say, cataract surgery isn't "that" bad. There are those that are Diabetic II, like myself and my wife, that can have eye problems. I had laser cataract surgery, both eyes, in 2018 and I darn glad I did. It cost us, but, at the end, I have full 20/20 vision and am extremely thankful that I had the surgery done.
Before covid I saw my eye doctor twice a year for exams and glasses. His equipment is state of the art and can see problems coming way before they get serious. Regular exams see if a possible problem progresses. My Medicare advantage plan picks up the tab except for co-pays. Going there gets me out of the house and gives me peace of mind. My father had vision problems as did the the former owner of my house. Eye health is not a do it yourself proposition in my opinion.
My step-mom had numerous eye surgeries and had to wear "Coke bottle" type glasses. She only worked for a short time. During the day at home, she would have to lay down on the couch for awhile to give her eyes a rest. So, I know exactly how you feel, Ed.
Routine health and eye checkups are essential for a long and healthy life. I understand some are skeptical about what they are told needs to be done. The key is finding the balance between getting the information from the experts and then making your decision to accept it or choose another road. Doctors are doctors for a reason, that being that they know more than us when it comes to health. Whether we choose to accept what they say is a personal decision, but I think not getting their input in the first place is a big mistake.
I'm a believer in eye exams; my father had macular degeneration and I want to make sure I keep on top of my eyesight. I was unable to have an exam for the past 2 years due to Covid restrictions and other health-related issues that left me with a compromised immune system. I'm happy to have an upcoming eye exam to see how my vision is, and to get some new glasses. As with most health decisions, "you do you."
If you do have eye issues, of course run to the eye doc. I did it for many years as that is what we were supposed TO DO....Then I got smart and learned what to do for my own potential cataracts that "were coming".... Being 84 soon and no cataracts is pretty Damn impressive...I'd say. So so many have run to do the very routine eye cat surgeries....and you know these surgeries are not FREE. And there are dangers than can happen. Now for me and since Covid saga, my distrust for the total medical world is so much Stronger.. We can do so much to Heal Ourselves and keep ourselves Healthy. The eye supports I mention cost me so so little...and worth every penny I spend.... Keep Healing Folks....
Have no idea. They are both passed away now. After I got my Honorable Discharge from the Navy, I decided I didn't want to return to the farm and stayed living in Orange/L.A. Counties.
Well, being that fact that I was both an EMT at one time, and worked for a Senior Heathcare Company another time, I'm a full believer in medical care. My VA doctor knows what I need and prescribes me the right meds for problems. As for my own care, I wouldn't trust myself for medical stuff. Only my VA doctor. Self-Healing doesn't always work.
It's simple we come from different sides of the issue. I do prevention as I don't want to visit doctors. I began to lose trust in docs in the 80's, a trip to the ER from a drug side effect did it. I seek out all alternative healers I can find for the issues that I manage.
haha good! 'prevention' used to be simply living right. To get sick required doing something wrong. Same today, but as noted in some other post/thread today or yesterday by someone, what is wrong is now called 'right', and what is right is now called 'wrong', very often.
So, question is: what happens if you must go to an ER for something? Just do your own emergency medical care?
