Still cool 48 degrees this morning when I got up - Thursday the high is mid fifties- all day- chilly.
I am now seeing crazy predictions for snow and cold weather beginning in the next week or so. Have any of you seen colder than usual weather or snowfall yet? Antarctica had its coldest winter on record and some are blaming things in part on the volcanic activity in the Canaries, Iceland and Kamchatka ( by far the biggest and least reported), as well as the Aleutians. Crazy times.
All summer, it was not as hot as usual here in Alabama, and we had rain much more than usual. In the meantime, the western United States seemed to be having weather that was hotter and no rain. It is cold here, but so far, not colder than normal as far as I can tell. I think that I did see predictions of a very cold winter, especially out in the north and west. It seems like every year, we here that the winter is going to be terrible, but of course, some of them are colder than others. It makes sense to me that almost everyplace might be getting colder, we have so many volcanoes that are spewing clouds of ash up into the atmosphere, which blocks some of our sunshine.
we're sitting in one of our winterized huts...sun's shining thru the clear vinyl..like a sunroom...I can raise or lower the vinyl as needed...in the 50's
A little nippy here today. Low was 8 F. and the high was 20 F. Not much snow though. We lost most of our snow during the warm up last week.
Temps in the high 20s today, but now we are under a winter storm watch or warning, and 12-24 inches of snow are predicted for Monday. I really hope it doesn't happen. I am so tired of moving snow, and I will have to be climbing on roofs to shovel them--not a good thing at my age.
