I use it when out on my rowboat or working in the yard. I got it as a freebie for renewing a subscription to NewsMax. The reception is good. It recharges by its own solar panel (no batteries) or it's own hand crank.

It also has a usb slot to recharge a phone from the radio and a mini-usb slot to recharge the radio from a computer. It has AM/FM plus the weather band. It is also a nice bright flashlight!

An odd thing about it is that it has no brand name or other info on it anywhere, so I can't tell you where to get one except to buy or renew a subscription to NewsMax.

I'm not pushing NewsMax but I suppose I'm surprised that anything advertised anywhere is as good as they say.

In daylight the solar panel keeps up so that it can play all day.

I had one of those, too. Might still be. In the closet somewhere ? I think that they are great as an emergency radio, because you can use solar if the hand crank if there is no sun.
There are probably still a variety on Amazon, if you look. I think my first one also had some of the shortwave bands. No microphone, but you could listen.
I just seldom listen to the radio anymore, and had forgotten all about these.
