I think Putin wants his empire back. He’s moving in on two provinces and probably testing NATO. Will our sanctions hurt Putin? Sure they will but won’t cause him to back down on Ukraine. Of course none of us really know.
Well, I think we can all relax about this Russia thing. Don't y'all remember a few months ago that Biden gave Putin the "list" of things to not attack in the US?? I'm sure Putin will follow Biden's instructions and didn't immediately use "The List" to plan his attack on the infrastructure, banking, water supply, etc. here in the USA. /end sarcasm
Yep, he said minor incursions are okay too, so Putin took him up on that as well. One intelligence source said that Putin made his decision on Ukraine when he saw what happened in Afghanistan. He then realized that this administration didn't seem to have any idea what it was doing. Why not take advantage of that?
This is only the beginning and won't end for a very long time. I'm sure my younger sister is worried about her grandson, he has recently moved to Germany in the Army and is a Tanker. He will be spending a lot of time out doors in the near future. My thoughts, armor is not the place you want to be in a full conventional war. There was a time it was a lot better in cold weather but they are not safe and just make a much bigger BOOM when hit. I would much rather be in an Apache with a look over the horizon mast. Stay low and have a turkey shoot from five miles away. They can't hear or see you. We sent them a lot of good antitank missiles and if the Ukrainians put up a good fight they are going to rack up a lot of Russian armor from a very long distance. Those tanks won't know what hit them before it's too late. When I took Infantry training at Fort Ord we were still firing the old WWII bazooka. You could hit a tank pretty easy but you had to be close enough to smile at them while you hit them.
I heard today that American troops in Italy will be moving to that mess. That concerns me because our step-grandson is stationed in Italy with the Air Force.
Right now the entire European theater is probably getting ready to bring the little runt to his knees using a massive lock down of commerce and ability to feed Russia. It will take a little time but it is possible to do that without firing a shot. He is the classic thug who starts massive world wars, it is up to the leaders of Europe to step up and put a stop to it. That said there is still China just waiting for their turn, but they know already it will not just be the US they have to fight, but Japan and Australia and other regional nations for them to take Taiwan. Hopefully the Chinese are not as crazy as the little Russian midget. Weakness like we see in our government will be our downfall. I just hope there are enough people out there that see the need to put a stop to all this criminal behavior by this moron in our white house and remove him and also investigate all his illegal activities over the years where he got rich from peddling influence, even taking money from this moron who is now attacking his neighbors. There is enough evidence to put him away until he stops waking up. Get these foreigners out of our congress and senate if needed and actually have a real congress that is taking care of our business and not trying to destroy us. Those are my enemies and I know just exactly who each one is, and I know who put them there. All of them have already broken the laws and ignored their oaths of office so there is no warrant needed. If people elected would just fulfill their sworn duties we would be much safer today but sadly we aren't.
Soooo….Zelensky, the highly questionable leader of Ukraine, decided to threaten Putin with the nuclear card and last night the Russians bomb key aerial military sites and cities killing around 40 Ukrainians and damaging a lot of equipment and infrastructure. The Ukrainians are told to hunker down in their basements through the bombings and arm themselves for a more than possible house to house onslaught. And the blood starts flowing giving further proof that war mongers have no regard for human life. Note: I’m getting a lot of mixed news. Most of it says that the Russians BOMBED sites in Ukraine whilst some of the video I’m seeing shows pretty precise Helicopter attacks.
Ukraine has no Nuclear weapons, they were handed over in a written agreement with Russia that Russia would never attack them. I guess this pretty much negates that agreement. Europe is a very screwed up place, so many tyrants here and there stealing from the oil and gas revenues so they are really just criminals. The last Leader of Ukraine was ran out of the country because of his criminal activities, and of course he was paying slo joe and his boy for influence. I guess for me this is the hardest part to digest, having a criminal in the white house who enriched himself and family from the same actors we see today and most likely will see again when the Russians retake Ukraine. Frankly I don't trust anything I hear from anyone in this mess that was created by the brain dead old man in our white house. Maybe they can send the VP back again and she can giggle them all to death.
Biden had said earlier in a campaign speech that Putin would NEVER push for Ukraine (Kiev) if he was President. My goodness, the very idea that Putin doesn’t give a dern about Joe and Hunter’s interests in Ukraine is absolutely appalling!! I mean, Joe’s relationship with Vlad is so, buddy-buddy and they’ve probably had shots together so how could Putin even think about invading Ukraine? Answer. There is no honor among thieves and Putin is several steps ahead of Biden because he practices the art of keeping his friends close and his enemies even closer. Vladimir Putin is not an idiot unlike his counterpart in the U.S. War Monger? yes. Narcissistic dictator? yes. Wants the return of the Soviet Union? Yes. But he’s not an idiot and is highly thought of by the Russians.

Their stock market was down 50 percent as of this morning, just wait until those food shelves empty in Moscow. Like the old Robin Williams movie they will be standing in a long line for new shoes and toilet paper. I would think his own population will be the ones who end this madness. All of Russia did it to end the cold war and open the borders of east and west Germany, they can do it again.
Russia should be totally isolated by the free world to the point where it’s citizens suffer the consequences. Putin will only be taken down a peg by internal unrest in Russia. Edit: Tom posted similar sentiments as I was typing mine. We are in agreement.
