The first thing I thought of was him throwing his Purple Heart over the White House fence. Probably a pang of guilt in not having earned it in the first place.
He lived on an air conditioned barge, spent less than 6 months in country and all that was accomplished simply because he had family friends with JFK and others. He mysteriously got that short assignment because he was being prepped to run for President. He is an A-hole from start to finish. Wrote all of his own medals, he was a boat captain on a river boat. As Paul Harvey said, now you know the rest of the story.... He don't look wounded to me other than between his ears. Now you would think someone with more than one purple heart would have some disability or scars. Not him.. I put him right up there with the other losers or his friends fonda and others. Good thing he wasn't out in the boonies he would have been frag-ed. ;0)
