11 F. when I went out this morning. I don't know what the overnight low was, but it was probably close to that. It is supposed to be sunny and nice today with snow beginning tomorrow, continuing through Thursday, then warming into the high 30s and low 40s. We'll see.
Yesterday was a melting day, and all that water froze during the night, but today's another melting day, all of which makes for slippery mornings and sloppy afternoons. I have to put my long rubber boots on when I go outdoors or change clothes when I come back inside. It's raining right now. If that keeps up, it will turn to snow tonight.
This week, lows near zero and more snow to come. This coming weekend, lows around 30 and highs in the upper 50's.
It is cold here again today, too, and supposed to be even colder by this weekend, with temps down into the low 20’s at night. I had hoped that we were done with nights that cold, but I guess we aren’t done yet. I want to move the raspberry bushes to the back yard where they get more sunshine, but I am going to wait until we get done with this cold snap and back to warmer “working in the yard” weather. In the meantime, it will have to be aerogarden gardening for me.
Climate Change, Reader's Digest Version Today's high is gonna be 65°F. Rain starts overnight, turning to snow at 10AM, with tomorrow's overnight low being 14°F. Tuesday will top 70°F. Where that little Swedish girl at?
I got a timeout on Facebook once for referring to her as "that retarded Swedish girl" so, since I just did it again, I suppose I should ban myself for thirty days.
I think "that word" is pretty much universally banned. I referred to a government policy as being "retarded" in an American Thinker comment, and the comment went into "Waiting Moderation" status. I copied/pasted my words into a fresh comment and removed that word, and the comment posted fine. I didn't circle back to see what happened with my original comment. What the heck do you say on a car repair forum..."I think your timing should to be special needs a little." How about a housekeeping forum..."Bleach will different-than-the-rest-of-us the growth of mold."
According to the forecast, only two more days till I can tap the trees. Good thing cuz we are almost out of syrup from last year.
Lows around freezing and highs near 40 F. No additional snow today, but snow is all around us. I just saw last night that the visitor's center at Denali National Park (for those who have been there) has 106 inches of snow on the ground with several more feet predicted in the next week. There is more snow in the other passes and on the mountains, of course. and avalanches are a real danger as the weather warms and the snow becomes heavier.
