I'm sure cz i hear Aussies talk on tv sometimes and also we heard you and hubby one time remember,,?? ! think it was ,, my memory is getting bad,,or maybe i dreamed it ,,lol
I’m. sure ….. You are 100% correct we emailed you a happy birthday recording think it was for your hubbies 70th birthday @Louise Miller
I'm thinking Aussies talk funny because they use too many vowels in their words. They should lern to tlk like Amurkins.
Im gonna do a recording and send it to ya one day Shirley then you can say yep I can understand everything those Aussies say unlike the Amurkins we have trouble understanding
I'm telling you .......... Wait... My wife is a Kiwi and she also has an accent but it is a bit different to the Aussie accent..
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been asked when we go to Queensland if I’m from New Zealand Steve. It’s prob because I don’t have a funny twang in my voice like Queenslanders do ….each and every state has a sorta accent …however where I was born and raised in NSW it’s a fairly isolated town / city with Adelaide being 500 km away there they have a accent that’s different to more populated parts of NSW. We had / have funny sayings like ….I’m going DOWN the north ….or OUT the south of the town. and even after 45 years of not living in that town I still say it when talking about an area where I was born.
I'm appreciating what you are saying.. Her accent has gotten quite mellow since she is living in Canada for the past 60 years... She still does have an accent though.. I guess we all have some sort of accent depending where we come from..
I'm here now,, and yes, i agree Steve,,, Originally i was born in Chicago , Illinois..but we moved about 60 miles from Chicago when I was still young ,, but i still have what's called a Chicago'ns accent, especially down here in southern Tennessee.. Here in Tenn,, they have the southern accents,, like Shirley's " ya'll "instead of you all ! and hubby is from Maine, so he still has an accent,, people notice our accents here in Tennessee .. Also my father was from Switzerland and he always had a Swiss (french) accent his whole life..!! Ok I'm Done!
I'm agreeing with you Louise... I also have an accent as I grew up in Quebec City which is very French.....
