I will undoubtedly pray that if indeed the Republicans take the House and Senate as they did during the Obama era, they do more than sit on their thumbs the way they did during that same period of time. We all imagined a change akin to fine wine and a good steak but wound up with stale beer and day old chitterlings. I do not know if it would make a difference but Harris will still be President of the Senate at least until 2024 no matter which party gets the Senate.

Generally speaking, being President of the Senate is favorable for the President because the VP has the tie breaking vote is indeed there is a tie.

I was just on another forum and the thread was on the places that folks are (or aren't) still required to wear masks. One guy said that his dental hygienist has patients who are horrified that they have to take their masks off in order to have work done. I think I'll go cry myself to sleep...
There is a farm not far from me that has purple martin houses set up. The owner's son is somewhat of an expert on them, and gives a free seminar to folks once a year...he's been hosting this event for almost 30 years. He is the "landlord" for over 70 mating pairs. I went when I first moved here...it is fascinating. I've not been in a while, so I cruised onto his website to see when this year's event is gonna be held (it's in June.) I discovered that in order to attend, you gotta be vaxed, fully boosted (at least 2 weeks prior to the event), masked, and practice social distancing. This is an event where are all in a field, and you bring your own chair if you want to sit. It breaks my heart. The guy practices law in an area populated at over 9,500 people per mi², and he's gotta do this in a county populated at 65 people per mi².
