Maybe think of it this way: If your family was making two billion dollars per day, would they let anyone threaten that ? So , too, the powers with the money , not just billions, won't let anything threaten their wealth and power. There is a question as to whether the Ukrainian president is actually still in Ukraine or whether he fled to Poland a couple of weeks ago, and has been broadcasting in front of a green screen. Apparently, he has recently banned all political parties in Ukraine but his own, which leads me to consider whether Russia might not be a good fit, after all.
