Hello, I am a newly retired firmware engineer who just sold a house and bought a cheaper and newer house south of Ft. Worth Texas. I don't miss the rat race of the job, or the bosses who have 1/10th the experience I do on the job telling me how to do the job. We're (my wife and myself) empty nesters and looking to travel and try other things while we can. We are already enjoying the peace and quiet of the new house and are just waiting for the travel industry and the overall economy to settle down so we can really start our lives again. It will be nice to meet all of you. I'll be lurking for now as we're getting unpacked into the new house, but very much looking forward to meeting everyone on these forums in the coming few months. ==James Rasmus
Take a swing by NJ in your travels. We have a truly lovely state, believe it or not. Welcome to the forum.
Welcome from rural Eastern Oregon near the Oregon Trail where men are still men and the women are proud of it. I spent some time in Texas as a kid and teen. I am 17% Texan.
To be accurate it is 11% Texan, 13% Coloradoan, 1% Montanian, and 75% Eastern Oregon/Greater Idahoan.
