It sure does I wouldn't want to be in front of it. At first I thought it was some kind of a disc to make a furrow. Your dad looks like a real hard worker such an interesting photo.
Indeed he was a hard worker; a dirt farmer in south Georgia. A lot of farm implements back in that time were extremely dangerous. That old building behind him was my grandparent's first house; it had no indoor plumbing and by the time I was born it was used for storage. It was called "The Old House."
The photo shows me the backbone of America, all my adult life I've wanted a farm. I thought I could make it Off the Grid, I had planned how to grow & store my own food using my livestock manure as fertilizer. I did that somewhat where I am now using chickens to clean an area and fertilized for next year's plants. I read a book called Grow It that had a lot of information on how to run a self-sufficient Farm.
