Phoenix doesn’t represent the entire state. Phoenix has nearly 150 street gangs of which 85% are Latino, about 10% Black and the rest are white and mixed. Why can’t gangs be controlled? With a wide open southern border it’s impossible. The Trump administration hammered away at MS-13 and was making some headway getting rid of them via sending them back across a closed border.
There is so much that screws kids and families in inner-cities, and it's the same issue that you have in all 3rd world nations...those who govern over them also profit from their misery.
Gun crime in border states might be accelerated due to the Biden Administration's promotion of illegal entry to the country, since this encourages the drug trade and other forms of lawlessness.
I suspect sex traffickers picking kids up at the border are carrying weapons.... Perhaps someone in the Biden Administration is receiving a kickback from the profits.
I cannot find a more recent graphic the NRA put out that includes knives and other stuff, but this one is from 2011 FBI stats:
I don't know what it is now, but a few years ago the principal weapon for murder in Chicago was the baseball bat.
Chicago does not enforce all their laws! If someone is involved in a crime there, if they are arrested, they are often turned loose shortly thereafter after a short jail time or probation, or not caught at all. They could put up more cameras to get evidence have much stricter penalties. I wondered why some cities allow this to continue. I think eventually Dems want to start martial law if things can be let to get bad enough. I wonder if the inflation will cause more crime--enough for them.
Virginia's Governor Northam released a bunch of convicted prisoners, then quipped that he was going to create a bunch of new gun laws, make instant criminals out of honest citizens, and throw us in the vacated cells. He even requested $600,000 in funding for the Department of Corrections so he'd have the resources to incarcerate us. Where the hell is the media when a sitting governor overtly threatens a class of citizens that his party does not like? In whose world is that "governing" in our republic? This is frightening stuff. Early in his administration this pic from his college yearbook came to light, and he just rode it out: You can see how much people give a $hit, lining up for pics:
I don't know a lot about Phoenix, but Arizona is a border state and in the southern quadrant of the state. The state has tried to exert some border protections but they were prevented from doing so by the Biden Administration. The Phoenix mayor is a Democrat and, although the political affiliation of council members is not listed anywhere that I can find, there's a good bet that most of them are Democrats.
Dunno about the rest of the gun thing but who was the nitwit who stopped putting the red strings in the band-aide wrap!! Did the string put-er-inner retire or something? They can put polka-dots, hearts and political slogans on the derned things so why not leave the little red string? Cut myself on some wire and just when I thought the bleeding had stopped enough to put something on it I had to wrestle with a bunch of stubbornly wrapped bandages then the bleeding started all over again before I could get even one out undamaged. There are times when I wish I had someone standing along side me who would say something totally appropriate instead of me having to say them but alas, for the lack of having said person I know how to cuss all by myself.
Phoenix City Council members are all listed as "Nonpartisan." Ballotpedia has a brief explanation on the term as it relates to elections where no one runs with a party label. It also says that the state of Nebraska self-identifies as the only state legislature that is entirely nonpartisan. I was unaware of this until now.
I forgot about those red strings. I can't tell you the last time I saw them. They are not on Band Aid® brand or generics these days. Maybe this will make up for it. Here's how to find the size you want without dumping out the entire box: -Make some offset tabs from index cards, one for each size. -Write each size on the tabs and sort the band aids behind their appropriate tab. -Stick a sample of each band aid onto the box (using the back of the box, if necessary.) -Write the size on each sample. I combined the band aids from a couple of different boxes into this container. Now you can easily figure out which size you want and then quickly find it. You'll also know if you're running low on a given size, since it seems there's that one size that gets used all the time (and can see if you even have any at all.) Since these protrude over the top and I could not close the box, I tore off the lid and put a rubber band around it to mitigate spills (I did that after my first spill, where I, too, engaged in slanderous soliloquy.) This is for old tyme's sake: As long as we're mourning:
Isn't this true about even the wealthy americans ? Those who govern also profit from their misery, and actually propagate it greatly.
