I was just responding to some Prolo questions etc and now I can't find the posts....I meant to post the https://www.getprolo.com/ site and never did I don't think. This link is NOT complete as more doctors have taken up this work.
Here's your thread. https://www.seniorsonly.club/threads/life-then-and-now.20533/ I had not heard of this and I was reading your comments and going on the web to research.
I tried to finfinmy state and was given the same link which show theneadresti is not evenings my state
Thank you, Joy Martin, for bringing this up. Although there are only two listed on this map for Wisconsin, there are many more in my state. Mostly in the larger cities. I think UW Madison is working on it now, too. I will say that this morning, I turned into an evil scientist. I schmeared cbd oil onto my leg and then a new bottle's application of dmso. My pain was a lot less but it shows how much I have atrophied in 5 years. I think, at least I might be able to do some exercises, now, without excruciating pain. Hope it lasts a while today.
Whatever gives relief, but one has to do it....CBD DMSO you name it. My daughter is now using Topricin homeopathic lotion on her poor feet, collapsed tendons, from statin drugs....she's pleased with her results, she bought 2 more jarrs.... I've been using Topricin for over 10 yrs......It's a wonder product. Again if any of you seek out PRP work, find qualified providers and t hose w ho have been doing it a long time, not new to the work, but one could be lucky....good to talk to t hose who have had the Prolo work... And it often takes MORE than 1 session...people stop too soon with their treatments and t hen complain it didn't work. There is a large jar of stuff I use and it is Arnica and DMSO....it's good stuff too. buy it on Amazon. DMSO alone I've found irritates the skin.
".people stop too soon with their treatments and t hen complain it didn't work." NOT arguing, just discussing. But my question is @ what point do we stop throwing money at something we are receiving no benefit from ? I did prolo up to about $3000 worth ..... I noticed not one ounce of improvement .... so I stopped. Like even the simple aspirin ..... we respond to ?? differently & / or perhaps not at all......jmo
Well if that is true,. then it did not work for you, you didn't have a good provider or whatever. When I first got Prolo over 10 yrs ago in a messed up shoulder, it took one session by a Sports Med MD in our town and it was all so new to me, and his 8 jabs in my shoulder gave me 3 Years of NO PAIN. Back then he charged me $200 for this Dextrose Prolo work. And at one point he did a session on my lower back of Dextrose Prolo and I don't think it did much....and that was a $200 session.. Then back in 2016 I was getting dextrose Prolo in my right knee and was doing good and I think I had done 5 sessions and went for a 6th and the MD hit a wrong spot in knee and I ended up with knee infection./....long long story on the infection issue. A provider needs to use ultra sound to have his injections going to the right spots and this MD/DO was 't using an ultra sound machine....His sessions were covered by Medicare and how he worked that, I don't question. . The injection in a wrong spot took a long time to get healed, hospital a nd rehabs as UCLA docs didn't find the infection for months and not until they finally sent me out for an MRI did they find the infection.... Now the MD who is very popular and knows his work charges $850 a session for PRP and $1600 for stem cells, I believe and his dextrose sessions I believe are like $400 a session. And he would never make guarantees and often takes 3-4 sessions for a person to have this work work. RonB: I don't know where you reside and have no clue about the doc you had so I can't say anything there.
"Well if that is true" ? Are you questioning my honesty ? After PRP .... In 2018, I went the whole Stem-Cell way to the tune of $10,000 ... and I got no relief from that either.
Well to continue to spend more 1000's and get no help...I question that one by anyone...wrong doctor is what I believe.
OK, so who is the doctor ? The only way we know is to try , PRP is PRP, same with stem-cell ... so how are we to know which doctor does it correctly ? Trust me, I did alot of research before my decision. And, back to my original question .... how do we know when to stop a therapy, or a medicine we thought / hoped would help us ?
\ Ron, you stop when you don't want to try anymore...And those doing the work have a LOT to do with outcomes.... Dr. Marc Darrow is the doc I'd see NOW, if I had the funds... He's in West Los Angeles and look him up.... Or just STOP trying period.
I believe you though trust would be something altogether different. Many many multitudes of people have gone through exactly or similar to the same 'experiments'/ trial and error , when working with those without potentially ANY real experience in healing nor knowing what they're doing right or wrong. What doctor / health direction/ to see or go ? Keep looking for those who were overall successful instead of those advertising so-called new-fangled ways of treating conditions what were treated successfully a century ago in the usa and centuries in the past on several if not all the continents. Yes, it is "well" hidden, by the greedy and unjust authorities everywhere, but .... that does not mean it cannot be found , especially with trusting prayer to the One Creator and simply asking Him.
Ron, would you share the names of the provider(s) you used...I would like to look them up. I know of a couple others here in CA who do this work: they are Donna Alderman, D.O. and Dr, Ted Fields.
Marc Darrow is on his Saturday 1 hr call in program right now...assisting those w ho have been damaged by surgery and many who do NOT want joint surgeries. ;
