SERIOUSLY! There's a tiny spider in my monitor. It's just behind the screen. Every once in a while it comes out from the fringes and just kinda meanders. It's not a virus or malware...it's an insect! I guess if I'm not doing anything interesting, it returns to wherever it's living. If it's in an annoying spot, I flick the screen and chase it off. Research indicates that this is not all that uncommon. I'm not gonna take my monitor apart to get it...how the heck would I even find it??? I just hope it doesn't lay eggs.
The weird thing is that there's malware that gets on your system, and a teensy meandering spider graphic is one of the things it does. There's a concurrent relief and horror when you flick the screen and realize that it's alive!!!!!!
How Long Do Spiders Live? The lifespan of a spider varies depending on the species. On average, spiders live for about 1-2 years, with the females having a greater lifespan than the males. Most male spiders attain sexual maturity within two years and usually die after the mating process. A few spider species, such as the Goliath birdeater, live up to 25 years. This is not good news. Now I gotta go find out how long the average monitor lasts...
if i research..just freaks me out more... course you could research live spider in my monitor...that'd be fun
[Thorogood]♫Move over little spider, a big old spider's movin' in♫[/Thorogood] (Your spider made my spider leave a trail of tiny poopies. Thanks, Shirley.)
We call them crab spiders. That one is pretty small. It can live till winter. You could stick the monitor in your freezer and thaw it slowly in the fridge, maybe?
I've never even heard of a crab spider, nor have I seen one like this...but it's very tiny. And it will likely live through winter if it's inside, huh? It's not been visible much today...I gotta think there's lots of places to explore in there. Maybe Ken & Shirley's spiders chased it off. In all the years I've been using a computer, I've never seen anything like this.
I used to tell my sister that she had spiders in her house because they found food there. You know how sisters are I would never say that to you.
