That came from someone who works with the FDA, as revealed in a Project Veritas undercover video. The FDA employee was seriously suggesting that people who are unvaccinated should be forced to war something like the yellow stars the Jews had to wear in Germany, and that they be forced into confinement zones for the unvaccinated.
Dr. Fauci became the director of the National Institutes of Health (NIAID) in 1984 and, during the 1980s and 1990s, the NIAID tested AIDS drugs on foster children, including infants, with AIDS, nearly always failing to provide for an independent advocate for the children. Exposed in 2005, this was an early scandal that Dr. Fauci skated from, without being held responsible. Not only did the NIAID fail to provide independent advocates for these children, several of whom died but, according to AP reports, the NIH (which oversees NIAID) had stated in writing that independent advocates would be appointed, yet failed to do so in nearly every case. John Solomon, who reported for the AP, wrote that "several studies that enlisted foster children reported that patients suffered side effects such as rashes, vomiting, and sharp drops in infection-fighting blood cells, and one (study) reported a disturbing higher death rate among children who took higher doses of the drug." Fauci's name was not mentioned in any of the articles about foster children being used for experiments, despite his leadership position, yet he was often cited in unrelated positive articles citing Fauci's role in important AIDS research.
To paraphrase Michelle Obama: For the first time in my adult life, I'm ashamed (and horrified) to be an American.
With the latest example of Fauci's ego running amuck (e.g., "They're really criticizing science because I represent science. That's dangerous."), you do have to wonder what level of narcissism you have to reach to even suggest you are the embodiment of science. On the other hand he might also be a dangerous politician who understands how crises such ad the pandemic, tend to enable political control and profit. He certainly had more political clout than Trump and may have more than Biden, despite the hits he's taken. There have been calls for Fauci to "park his ego" but I don't see him being willing or, perhaps, able to do that at this time. I wonder how long it will take before this little Napoleon wears thin on people. Also, it seems the GOP in general is afraid of him. On another forum, the consensus seemed to be that Fauci was a sweet, fatherly figure of pandemic salvation.
My elderly neighbors (about 1/2 mile away) are liberals. He thinks Bernie is the Second Coming and she is a first-wave feminist and cannot tolerate any politician who is pro-life. It's the "our body" thing, to which I told her "No, there are two bodies involved . . . " In May 2020 he was going on and on about the great Dr. Faux. I started trashing Faux, and my neighbor said something like "So you have a medical degree, and know more about this than he does?" It got worse, so I walked out and haven't talked to them since. Life is too short to argue with Cultists.
Pope Fauci: WASHINGTON, D.C.—In a stunning reveal, Dr. Fauci has appeared on camera in an ornate and funny hat, and is now declaring himself the "Pope of Science." "Look at my shiny hat! Woooo-ooo! I have been chosen by science to speak on behalf of science!" said Pope Fauci. "My very words are as infallible as the natural laws of the universe itself! If anyone doesn't like me, or disagrees with anything I say, or makes fun of my glasses, they will be excommunicated—banished to everlasting darkness." Fauci's eyes then rolled back in his head as he began uttering in a dead ancient Sumerian language. Fauci has appointed Greta Thunberg as his high priestess of Earth, President Xi Jinping as his priest of infectious diseases, and 3,200 Pfizer lobbyists as agents to administer the sacrament of the vaccine. As his first act, Pope Fauci has issued a Papal Bull condemning Senator Rand Paul and has called for him to be burned at the stake. Source: Babylon Bee.
I like to ask people like that what the purpose of getting a second opinion is. All experts must agree; otherwise, one (or both) of them are wrong.
Fauci is the dislikable front man implementing the measures that are destroying our nation and quite possibly doing long-term irreparable harm to much of the human race (at least, to those of us in 1st World countries.) "They" have no reason to get rid of him, and every reason to keep him where he is. We all know how these things end for people like him, but for now he is highly useful. I don't see his Expiry Date in the immediate future...but it will likely be just preceding an election cycle. I worry less about him than I do the fact that all of Freedom's watchdogs have been shot.
She brought the subject up maybe 3 years ago (she will be 90 this coming spring). She said something to the effect, with an air of irritation: "I don't know who some of these politicians think they are, that they can tell us what we can do with our own bodies." Of course the subject was abortion. I said something like: "As some people have known for a long time, and as DNA and other science has now proven, it's not one body -- the 'fetus' is a separate, distinct, and unique human being." The look on her face was indescribable. What came instantly to my mind, and remains there, is that she'd never heard that before. She was literally at a loss for words. And her being a product of the MSM, since even before TV was invented, I realized that I was probably right: She had never heard that point of view before and it caught her off guard.
Faucidweeb was seen, from the very beginning of the whole Covid "panicdemic," as a great go-to guy who could soften up the public at large with his asinine (and often contradictory) remarks, making said public more ready to accept, hook, line and sinker, any and all restrictions the government wanted to put in place. He's still at it, as evidenced in this article, flipping and flopping, yet again, in less than a few days time. He was to be commended for his efforts, decades ago, in AIDS research. He NEVER should have been put back on the world stage, again, for Covid! https://news.yahoo.com/fauci-says-h...each-pandemic-by-no-means-over-171750352.html
This habit of saying nonsense like "Faucidweeb" is such a turn off. I know, some folks think it's high comedy, but it drags down the serious parts of your post TreeGuy. IMO
I totally agree with your post, @Lulu Moppet . The only way that people can have actual respectful discussions about any topic is to refrain from belittling the people involved in the topic. Name calling, in any form, implied or obvious, never adds to a person’s reasons for thinking/feeling/believing as they do, nor does it convince anyone else that the person has an intelligent reason for those beliefs. I think that we all sometimes fall into the bad habit of name-calling or belittling someone , but it is something that always detracts from a discussion, never adds to it. At least, TG went on to explain why he thinks that about Fauci, which is good, because then it can be discussed properly.
I have called this guy "Faucidweeb" since I became sickened by his nonsensical drivel. I have never seen anyone else use that name for him. I cannot use any other name for him since I see him as being a dweeb, and all that entails. He is a big reason why the US was panicked into all of the measures we took that had very little effect on Covid running its course, which it continues to run, today. Sorry if my name for him is offensive. Please delete this thread if it violates the TOS in here. Thanks.
