This song makes me think of my dad. He was a farmer and he sat out on the back porch nearly every evening, sipping his coffee with a faraway look in his eyes.
What an good appropriate song. I can visualize this. I have an idea, a painting of a farmer, a cup of coffee sitting on his porch, in the sunset dreaming, with that song playing in the background, both eye and ear stimulation. A new Art form?
Very hard workers for sure although I can only visualize fishing or shrimping since I use to meet the shrimp boats coming in and the gulls ,egrets and pelicans flying all around them. It was beautiful sight first thing in the morning.I sold shrimp and that was hard but I loved it.
My recollection is spotty but I'm told that when I was 2 or 3 I would play the jukebox in the corner Luncheonette that my parents ran. Customers would give me there nickel tell me the song and I'd go over and punch the numbers in. This song reminds me of that time.
This song reminds me of my first crush Kathleen. We were in the same class in Elementary School, she lived on the same Street as I did about one block away. I was extremely shy and other than the occasional "Hi", I had never talk to her. One summer day I came out of my apartment and there she was sitting on the stoop at the house next door, she was visiting a friend. She said hi what are you doing, I didn't know what to say this was unexpected so I said taking care of my pets only dumb thing I could think of. She asked about them so I bought a hamster down ( we lived on the second floor) for her to see, I followed that with a chameleon, when I open my hand to show it to her it jumped onto her chest, she yeld "get it off" embarrassed I reach for it, jumped again, I tried to catch it missed, this time it landed on her crotch, red in the face I went to get it, again it jumped this time on her arm where I retrieved it. This song reminds me of my brief encounter with Kathleen, it was on the charts at that time.
Tony, here is one I liked but then I like Juilo's voice and many of his songs. First time I heard him was singing with Wilie Nelson ' All The Girls I loved Before' , liked him every since. I always wondered ho0w many people can name these landmarks in background.
Having two left feet, two right feet, two Middle feet, and tripping over my own shoelaces my cousin tried to teach me to Cha Cha Cha to this song.
I do remember this one,fun song. Cha Cha and Fox Trot first dance I taught my kids and grand kids. The boys wasn't crazy about it at the time.
