Interesting. Good luck! For me, I would be more inclined to go do something(s) social and see if I crossed paths with someone who clicked. At least then I'd still get some social needs met and things would not have the Succeed/Fail pressure to them...but that's just me. And I agree with Beth. Honesty is the best policy, and it's a whole lot easier to remember stuff, too. Here's an existing thread where this might get more visibility: Have You Ever Tried Online Dating? It was short lived...started 2/17/16, never went past one page (or one day), got a smattering of responses, the final post was from the originator the next day 2/18/16. But that was then. Chrissy Cross has done this. Cody placed a personal ad and met his wife that way.
Look around your area too. I met my second husband at a singles group. There was a seniors dining group that was started here. If they are no longer or you don't have one in your area, start one! We also have a big senior center here. It is very active. Can't say a hot spot but I know there are women there. OOPs Just noticed I put this under John's post and not Dwight's. Hope he is an eavesdropper.
I changed my wife, but she wanted to be changed. Her mom wasn't to hip on her changing. She told me, after we returned from a rodeo, "why can't your friends accept her the way she is?". I told her mom, with my wife standing right there, "they can tell someone who is seriously interested in rodeo and someone who isn't. I've taught her the lingo and other things, like getting new boots that we got for her. She now talks rodeo and looks rodeo, so they totally accept her." Dear old mom still couldn't understand, but "oh well". And then, when my wife's family found out that we bought her a Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun, to say the least, they were shocked. She loves both her Ruger 10/22 Rifle and the 9mm and love target shooting. Her second husband didn't like her wearing a baseball cap. He told her that it didn't make her look feminine. I love seeing her wear a baseball cap!
I met my wife 22 years ago (2000) thru a Personal Ad I had placed and she answered. I told her exactly what I looked like and my hobbies/interests. A year later we were married! But, during the year before we married, she was wearing an engagement ring.
They are, it just took me a couple 'wrong 'ones to finally get it right, but I started early, we are going on 44 years married that is.
Was just thinking that if my first hubby survived, we would have been married 50 years this weekend. Present hubby and I have been together 44 years. Next time I am marrying for money.
