    As an example: 20220609_131003.jpg
Now, if this is an internet fake pic, my apologies to the entertainer. OTOH, if it's genuine, and that's only written about the authenticity of the pic, then.... Yeah, sure, every woman has breasts that look like stuck-on softballs!

Like not a single member of this forum has ever lied about something in their lives. Not to get to far off topic here, but I know I have and it delt with employment. Of course, that was back when a Background Check wasn't done for small businesses. And, can't call for a "reference" when the company has closed.

Not delusional when someone gives you the compliment, "you sure don't look ......". Then I say, "thank you, but I know I don't:)." and tell them about the hair color I use.

News Flash: My body is my age and that's how it looks; however, my mind is not my age and that's not how it acts. :)

PS: I think most older seniors who get plastic surgery to look younger end up looking like crap. Give me the real deal, not someone who can't handle where they are in life.

Funny, back in 2000, when I placed a Personal Ad in a local magazine, I was very honest and truthful about my looks and weight. My wife loved it. There are those that will place a Personal Ad for a relationship and really, really stretch the truth about their looks and even their age. Those are the same kinds of folks that will put a picture of themselves on Facebook that can be 10+ years old.

Jeanine Garofalo once said that those purchased boobs look like google-eyed fish.

Other than that...when people lie about such things, at least we can tell that they are lying. Lots o' BS gets slung over that which cannot be [dis]proven.

I believe Heidi meant that getting inked is not the functional equivalent of plastic surgery.

I find it disappointing that someone as intelligent as Charro would even feel the need to consider body enhancements. There is no hope for the rest of us...

    Dunno guys.
There are a lot of examples I could use but as one, Marilyn Monroe was a very smart woman and probably didn’t have any cosmetic surgery done but the dumb blond act did more damage against her intelligence level than lying about one’s man made outward appearance.

That said, was it a bad thing? She made it in the movies and got rich, was the first woman featured in a new “girlie” magazine, a statue was erected in her honor and even made it with a President all because of her assumed persona.
Basically, Monroe lied about how intelligent she really was and made a mint acting like she didn’t have 2 brain cells that agreed with each other but she gave what she believed guys in particular wanted to see.
We all know what we’re told about her eventual demise but was there a time when she was happy about her facade and if she was, again, whom did it hurt besides herself?

Heck, in my MUCH younger days I remember a comedian speaking about running into a gorgeous 5’8” blond with measurements equalling that of a movie siren.
He said that when they got to the hotel room and she took off the wig, the pushup bra, the girdle, the butt pad and the 5” spike heels, he didn’t know whether to make love to her or jump into the drawer where she put all that stuff.

It may not be surgery but to me it’s all the same thing. A whole lotta people feel better about themselves by changing who they really are whether it’s semi-permanent or for only a day.
Notably, I do not like a lie no matter how white it may seem but if changing one’s appearance is the greatest lie a person ever commits then go for it.
I can think of a lot of things far worse than that.

So basically we all think the cosmetics industry needs to be shut down.

I never implied that it was. I was simply pointing out that those folks in the body mod scene, as in tattooing and piercing, can easily detect when someone has had plastic surgery.

I will go further, here, as there are many good things about tattooists and piercers that those outside the biz never hear about:

I got to be a skin expert during my fifteen years in the trenches. My dermatological knowledge was second only to dermatologists. I discovered a very small melanoma on a tattoo client who later came back to thank me for saving her life.

We also learn to recognize musculoskeletal misalignments we encounter. This girl came in to get her belly button pierced. Her sister waited in a wheelchair, with her mom, while we went into my exam room. When I stood her up to mark where the piercing would go, I was amazed how off center her navel was. Her hips made no sense, as far as normal alignment went. I pointed things out to her, and she was concerned. I told her to go see an orthopedic surgeon for a consultation. She, too, came back to thank me for sparing her the fate of her sister. A malformation of the spine ran in her family. I caught what nobody else had. She was in a brace, and told me her prognosis was good. I was happy to hear that.

I don't want to steer this thread away from how I started it, but I know there are folks in here (whom I no longer can see) who are very down on the tattoo and piercing biz. I just wanted folks to know that some of us have done a lot of good in that profession, that doesn't always involve tattooing and piercing.

I don't give a happy damn what anyone does to "enhance" their appearance. I thought the point of this thread was that some people LIE about having done so.

I know two ladies who have had plastic surgery. One of them looked absolutely fabulous. If you hadn't known she had had it done, you would never have guessed. It just took ten years off her face. The other one had several procedures and openly talked about them. She looked ghastly. Her face was pulled so tight that it looked like a Halloween mask. But if she's happy, I'm happy. :)

And, I'll be honest with y'all, if I was rich, I'd have a little nipping and tucking done here and there. And if it looked good, I'd lie about it. :p:p:p:p

Channel 9 had a special 60 minutes program on last night (Thursday) about a corrupt plastic surgery chain of businesses up the Gold Coast ( Queensland) and Sydney NSW ….. OMG they mainly did huge backsides / liposuction/ tummy tucks like the Kardashians what a mess the “ doctors” did on some patients and disfigured many others who now suffer ongoing pain years after the surgeries.

60 mins is usually on Sunday nights

Their operating rooms left allot to be desired with blood / fat they had sucked out of patients over the floor as well as well reusing syringes / tubes ect that are meant to be …once only use .as well as lacerating vital organs with the
    tube used for liposuction
