Don't know how long really foul design decals have been out, but one in particular is really foul to us. It's the one showing the design of a male humping the word "it". Whereas I don't have to say what the decal is saying, because it's pretty evident. Have noticed this certain decal on some young people's vehicle back window. Just what does that say about the personality of the person who put it on?

And, today, decals of skulls is a big thing with some young people also.

    Just don't get it!

Bumper decals can get pretty questionable also. Years ago, "I love (heart) NY" was being seen a lot in So. California and it was disliked a whole lot. Some residents would say, "if you love New York so much, go back!"

    What do you think?

Sometimes I think they are meant to be decorative more than anything else including the Confederate flag. I did see one on a car full of young girls that said "So many men, so little time." Yea, right!

Well, I sure wouldn't see a "stick-like" male figure humping the word "it" as a decorative thing. I'd call it disgusting!
It's almost like anything a young person can do to show saying the "F" word is ok, and even great.

Is this thread just about bumper stickers/window decals in general (as the title suggests) or is it only about the obscene or vulgar ones like you described , @Cody Fousnaugh ?
Ed’s response seems to be about bumper stickers in general, but you seem to be fixated on the vulgar ones; so it would help to know what you are wanting to discuss in this thread.

Most definitely the vulgar ones, but there are also pretty stupid looking bumper stickers/window decals out there.
Within the vulgar ones , just when will America decide they've had enough of this "F" word, even in bumper stickers/window decals?

Okay, I edited your title, so other people will know that we are not discussing the cute bumper stickers, or the political and patriotic ones, just the vulgar ones , in your thread.

Not to be off topic but I saw a decal that said, “dogs are better than cats” which to me, is very divisive and possibly offensive.
I mean, cats seem to like me more than I like them and yes, I like dogs better but for those who are totally infatuated with their cat(s), the decal could cause some road rage and possibly get someone killed.

Sometimes folks take that 1st amendment right way too far. After all, dogs ARE better than cats.

I think the "I (red heart) NY" was somewhat or very offensive to those that loved So California, but I don't think there was any road rage done over it. Just some mumbling about "if you like it, go back" type of thing.

I think the "you asked for it, so we made it" statement from decal companies, to make whatever vulgar/obscene decals that could be thought of, were made. And, as long as they sold, of which they sure have, decal companies don't care about the conservative people, but love the others.

Our country is built upon capitalism and wherever capitalists can make a buck, that’s what they / we are going to do. Sometimes there are bad consequences that come from those actions and sometimes not.

It was only a few years ago that a big huff was made over a cartoon of Mohammed. It was probably in bad taste and Hillary blamed the raid in Benghazi on it (which was false) but as with decals or lettered t-shirts, it is simply another aspect of capitalism.
