The other night, on Wheel of Fortune, Pat talked to a lady contestant. First thing she said "I married my wife.........." We don't watch Wheel all of the time, but from what I remember, this was the first time that Wheel has had a married lesbian on. And, to be totally honest, up until this show, I haven't seen a black lesbian before. We immediately turned the channel and watched MASH.
I've seen a number of married gays on that show, with women referring to their wives and men referring to their husbands (Sajak kinda stepped into a pile of poop once by "mis-assuming.") For a while, I thought there was a push to get people of this status on the show because it was happening pretty often. I've seen it on other game shows as well.
I still fail to understand why it is even necessary to' Come Out'. What purpose does informing the world about your sexual preferences serve? Other than getting attention and not always a good thing, there is no reason. I have become tired of the words Proud and Pride and now avoid any rainbows.
My personal opinion??? Projecting a lack of self-acceptance on others and holding the rest of the world accountable...and it's not gonna help them. Of course, this is a generality and not a universal. I think that this stuff is not of import to most gay people.
could be... my answer for most things these last few days.. I don't know, and I don't care. I had to repeat this when my step daughter asked - are you okay?
I have said before that one of my best friends is a gay man. I haven't seen or talked to him in quite a while, so recently I checked his facebook page. All the time I have known him (over 30 years), he has been low-key and disdainful of flamboyant "gay-ness." I don't know what has transformed him, but his FB page is all rainbows, "pride," and liberal bull hockey. I don't see the man I thought I knew and it's totally shocking to me.
This is my issue as well. I don't give a damn what people do behind closed doors; I don't want to know about straight people's sex lives and I certainly don't want to know about homosexual people's sex lives. Frankly, I'm just tired of having the mess thrown in my face and I don't like it.
Tony Randall was on some show like Oprah or maybe it was Donahue and a person in the audience asked him if he was gay and his reply was, “why do you want to know what I do with my pee-pee”? It was the perfect answer and the end of that conversation……as it should be.
It is probably very painful for Sajak, as he is a conservative Christian--unusual in Hollywood--and I believe Vanna has gone that way a bit as well. Last I checked Sajak was the board chairman for Hillsdale's charter school program. I generally think they should call their partner by their role, as all true gay couples I have known have one member who fulfills a more feminine role and one who fulfills a masculine one. Clarence Thomas has hinted that, like the Roe v. Wade Decision, Gay Marriage falls under the tenth amendment, not the 14th or whatever the Gay marriage thing fell under. The Federal Government has no role whatever in civil unions
I've heard this as well, in the context of Democrat Election Year Hysterical Rhetoric. To me, the issue with this being a state issue are the inherent conflicts with The Full Faith & Credit Act. But there is no civil (or rational) discourse to be had on any of this stuff...there's too much political mileage to be had. And in my opinion, the majority of those affected by such issues don't really care. For the rest of us, I think it's more symbolic (or emblematic) than anything else.
I remember when I was in about the 2nd grade and my teacher handed out some paperwork for us to take home for our parents to fill out. Out of curiosity, I was trying to read through it and stumbled upon one single word that to me, had no understandable meaning so, when the bell rang I went up to my teacher to ask what that word meant. When I pointed out the word and asked what SEX meant, she at first looked a little flustered but explained that it was a question asking if I was a girl or a boy. Trusting that I understood, she further explained the use of Male and Female as alternatives to boy and girl. Simplicity at it’s best. It’s too bad that the LBGTQ etc community has made that question nearly impossible to answer.
The question is: exactly who are "the LBGTQ etc community"? I continue to submit these are mostly things stood up for disruption and power by those who are not "of that kind." Perhaps they have picked up some folks on the fringes, but it is not the day-to-day man & woman on the street.
They are the political left and they need to keep racism and the gender identification dilemma alive using all the false virtue signaling they can muster up in order to shore up their voting structure. Add abortion to the mix and the rest of the world can blow up around us just as long as those three components can be used to divide us.
