Yes, a manure tea. I started out using a big stock tank for making it and that was a lot of trouble plus the smell, so I tried the feeder ditch method with good success. For my plants now, I buy locally made compost that is $3 for 50 lbs. I spread it around the plants and then just sprinkle water over it. I even use it in my patio 3' diameter pots. I work in a few inches of it every couple of months. I use 16-16-16 on my lawn but may not fertilize again this year due to the price doubling.
I tend not to use traditional organic fertilizer in the greenhouses due to the smell. Outside the only hazard is perhaps drawing bears in, but I use fish bone meal and fish emulsion to side-dress and my own blended stuff as a planting fertilizer. I also use my blend to side-dress root crops. I used to make a different blend for each type of crop, by I have gotten lazy in my old age and now just use the same blend for everything. I used to fertilize my lawn too, but gave it up this year due to cost. My oldest sons are into small scale aquaponics, but that is tooo much trouble for me.
For ladies with more endow than I, perhaps, but for me, not so much For me, it is about honoring natural living.
