That is what my gyn told me.....the reason I have uti's now and not before. I've done lots of research on it as well.

The few UTI's I've had in my life and I'm 84 soon, were all way before menopause.

There are NO definite answers from any doc.

Remember: They are practicing on us...that's why their business is called
    Medical Practice.

I think I've had two bladder infections. One was caused [introduced] by a procedure and was so severe I could not urinate. The other is questionable because a urologist just decided to test as a matter of routine and said I had one, although I was symptom-free.

I think it is loss of muscle tone in the pelvic floor, tilted parts that did not fall over before.

I should take a picture of my kitchen table with all the bottles of stuff all over it. It could be my avatar! Hubby and I take a lot of supplements between us. Not all of them all the time or it would be more than the cost of a car!

Well, I can beat that probably. I have some stuff on nightstand for my sleep stuff, some stuff in drawers that are like a supply, some on kitchen counter that I take in that area.

Some bottles on my desk here for stuff that I take in this area.

I've got it down to a science and works for me.

    Sloan Kettering.....

Although it has antioxidant properties, grape seed has not been shown to treat or prevent cancer.

Proanthocyanidins may help improve cholesterol levels, but studies are limited. There are also very few studies that have been conducted in cancer patients. One such study did not find any improvements in radiotherapy side effects among breast cancer patients.

    Shown to:

    To lower high cholesterol
Grape seed may improve lipid profiles, but studies are limited and larger trials are needed.

    To treat atherosclerosis
Although lab studies suggest antioxidant and cardioprotective effects, studies in humans are lacking.

    To address cancer side effects
Studies in cancer patients are limited and have yet to show benefit.

I'm banking on it for me and all the info from the cancer research clinics that
use it in their research, it's CHEAP prevention and just a good MAYBE it's doing
    that in my life....

Yes there is no concrete evidence on prevention, but the fact that it's being
    studied is good for me
. Plus it's given me so so many other health benefits I'd be a fool to let it go.

And it is a good feeling that it "could" prevent cancers. This is a lot and to think "they" may want
to prevent a big money making disease like cancers..there is a link on the 4 cancers that have been researched and they are: colon, breast, prostate and skin. I do no mammograms, had 2 in my early 50's and that's been it.

Our country has thrown around a cure for the common cold haven't we??? Well my friend I have not had a cold or flu and for sure no vaccines in all the time I've been taking Grape Seed Ex and even many yrs before...antioxidants rock.

    It will not hurt you.
Sloan Kettering put down a natural treatment back in the fifties. They started studying it. It could not be patented and it would require taking the treatment indefinitely.
    No patent? Indefinitely?
    No good.

Oh how true Mary, if it can't be patented then it's thrown away....someone at S.K. had
some good ideas back in the 50's...and the pharma bosses threw it away. The group I heard
back in 1995 must have been aware of the work on this powerful antioxidant and cancer
    prevention.

I bought two bottles of it a few years ago, but I didn't see any discernable results or changes in anything, so I didn't buy any more.

What were you looking for? For me I bought my first bottle as we were told "may prevent cancers", then low and behold I threw away sudafed and drixoral as the Grape Seed Ex did that healing on sinus and allergies. Never bought the 2 drugs again and it's 26 yrs soon. Many other issues are subtle and I just felt things change: gums improved, eyesight improved, hearing is pitch perfect, moles/freckles disappeared, memory is good, no cancers....hardly any lines/wrinkles on this older face of mine. And as I've said IF ONLY this herbal could reverse all the damage to my body from
hip replacement, I'd be one happier lady.

If I didn't mention it already, if one takes a pharma blood thinner, can't take both......
