I have heard some commentators state that, based on what Biden said in an address in California recently, it appears that the U.S. and Europe are looking for ways out of the Ukraine debacle. Russia appears to be flourishing in part due to the relationships it has affirmed due to Western sanctions while the economies of Europe are going down the tubes and the U.S. economy is in an inflationary spiral due in part to those very sanctions. Also, NATO is sending arms to Ukraine that they cannot replace due to china and Russia refusing to sell the raw materials to make those weapons. We are disarming ourselves as we send very expensive weapons systems to Ukraine where they can be blown up or confiscated by the Russians. Russia has just about cut Ukraine off from the Black Sea now, and has completed the land bridge to Crimea they have sought for years. What next?

It appears the war in Ukraine is moving to a new level. Lithuania has embargoed the little part of Russia that is not contiguous with the main body of Russia and Russia is moving hospitals and blood banks to their border in the same manner that they did prior to the Ukraine invasion. The Baltic states appear to be a bit frightened but they are being pushed by Poland and the UK to move forward with the embargo. We'll see.... The new Chief of Staff for the UK armed Forces claims to be prepping his troops for a land war against Russia. The UK Armed Forces are miniscule compared to Russia, and hasn't ever been a major land power--at least for several centuries. Without the colonies, they will have to rely on their Navy, and Russia, a major land power, really won't care as long as China and India are on Russia's side. Ukraine has attacked Russian drilling platforms in the Black Sea, and Russia is threatening the "source of the weapons" used in the attack, so that could be Poland, the UK, or one of the other NATO countries, perhaps even the U.S.

The war has dropped out of the MSM for some reason, perhaps because Russia appears to be winning major victories and acquiring significant territory despite aid from the West, but it is still endangering everyone and the cyber war continues behind the curtain.

The U.S. is now moving entire units to Europe in preparation for war in Europe. NATO is said to have put 300,000 troops on alert. Iran has petitioned to join BRICS. The U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve is at a near-record low and will run out before autumn if drained at the current rate, as Biden assumed he could get more oil from OPEC but they are laughing him off. Of course, we could get oil from Russia....:) It appears we are going to war to defend European dictatorship this time, as two dictators are at each others' throats, and Russia seems to be the more democratic option, so they cannot say we are defending democracy this time. Oil is predicted to hit $200 a barrel by October when our oil reserve is gone. How wonderful to be in the hands of such a competent leadership team. The Pentagon is even talking about starting conscription, but less than 20% of U.S. males of draft age are physically strong enough to be drafted.

Not only the physical aspects, but they’d have to wave the background requirements in relation to belonging to subversive groups such as antifa and BLM and those with drug, gang and protest related criminal records.

All that said, I can see the headlines now: As safe spaces are found to be ineffective against conscription, Thousands flee to Canada and Mexico as the U.S. draft is reinstated.

Now, the question I have is: Why the heck do we always have to be involved in a war?
Warring factions in Europe have been at it for a thousand years so as long as they’re not screwing around with the UK and a couple of other nations, we should stay out of it.

Going to war to create peace is like having sex to preserve chastity.

Right now it seems that the U.S. is in a fight for its life, and most Americans don't understand it. We have accumulated the biggest debt per capita of any nation in history based on the dollar as a reserve currency. The dollar was needed by everyone as the petrodollar was used to buy energy and the SWIFT system was the way nations transferred currency from nation to nation. China and the other BRICS countries have had the dollar under attack for some years, but Biden removing Russia from SWIFT has shown the world that the U.S. is willing to punish anyone who goes against its wishes in a way no one ever envisioned. That has made many notions now look for an alternative to SWIFT and the dollar as a reserve. China and BRICS has an alternative that is more broad-based and less likely to be used as a weapon. Once Biden used the international dollar exchange as a weapon against Russia, he put our entire future on the line in the Ukraine war. If Russia wins that war, the U.S. currency will likely fall. Saudi Arabia and India are already dealing in rubles, as are the rest of BRICS. When the dollar falls, it will bring on an economic catastrophe the world has not seen since Rome. The World Bank president outlines how the West is preparing a digital currency to replace the dollar and put everyone's purchases into electronic form where it can be tracked. Scandinavia has already moved that way. Canada demonstrated how a nation can use a similar system to punish those who misbehave when it took on the Canadian Truckers. It seems our entire future rests on the outcome of the war in Ukraine. As a side note, war is a way to distract the populace from what is really going on in their country, such as the inflation, the border, the shortages, etc.

I tend to believe that is the result favored by those making the decisions here. I'm not so sure that we're fighting, at least not in favor of ourselves. The globalist progressives here would love to have us on an electronic currency that they control.

Now Russian gas company Gazprom has declared that they will not be able to fulfill gas contacts to Europe. That could signal that they intend to attack western Ukraine, which they have avoided for a number of reasons despite what is in western media, among which is that the gas pipelines that are helping Russia to finance the war selling gas to the EU run through western Ukraine, i.e. Kiev/Kyiv. Russia has said that if the U.S. supplies missiles to the Ukrainian military that are used to attack Russia (including Crimea) that the restraint that has been shown so far may end. It could mean that Russia will blow up its own pipeline and totally shut off gas supplies to Europe. That would trigger a total crash of the EU economy and the Euro, as well as leave all of Europe cold for the winter. Here is the story on Yahoo.

Novelist Stephen King has come out in support of WW2 Ukrainian Nazi collaborator Stephen Bandera and his present day followers. Bandera is a cult figure in the Ukrainian military.

It's a puzzle about who is most in control of Ukraine - Jewish president Volodymyr Zelensky or the Nazis leading the military. Zelensky has recently fired or arrested members of the government suspected of collaborating with the Russians. Russophobia is rampant in Ukraine and has been encouraged by the west. A crucial need of a Nazi movement is a racial enemy. It doesn't matter to Ukrainian Nazis that they and the Russians are both Slavic and each shares more dna with each other than any outside group.

Some culturally conservative Americans are supporting Putin's invasion of Ukraine and believe he is fighting the New World Order. The reality is both complex and subtle. Knowing that the collapse of communism in the Soviet Union was a KGB planned stage play clarifies one's understanding. That the collapse happened so suddenly, universally and completely without violence should raise suspicion. The communists appeared to fall out of power completely when in actuality they just faded out of the public eye. They still control Russia. Why else would an apparently staunchly capitalist country remain strong allies with the CCP? Putin is neither a Christian nor a capitalist and the communists are still in charge. Putin is a boogie-man for the Ukrainian Nazis and those Nazis are a boogie-man for Putin.

We're asked to follow this morality play but there is no morality to be found. Other than everyday citizens, there are no good guys involved in the Ukraine war, least of all Nato or its American agents. As far as workable solutions, the Minsk agreements were supposed to give limited autonomy to Russian regions of Ukraine while they still remined part of Ukraine. These regions have been under continual attack by the Ukrainian military since 2014, which is still shelling civilian areas to this day. Of course the Russians are blamed for this but why would they attack ethnic Russians who welcome their presence? They would not.

I can't recall any instance where strategies such as partial autonomy have worked. Either ethnic Russians must leave Ukraine or Russian areas must secede completely and become part of Russia or become their own sovereign countries.

Again, keep in mind that the conflict is largely a gigantic play. The effort by the United States to try and remain the policeman of the planet and arbiter of world currency is failing. For decades our prosperity has been fueled by exploiting poor countries resources and exporting our inflation, but that is coming to an end. Domestically we will not escape a period of increasing poverty, chaos and civil breakdown. War with other counties to control their oil or other recourses will continue for a while, with a likelihood of nuclear disaster. In any ground conflict with Russia on European soil our military would run short of ammunition and supplies in a month. Our military, excepting the Navy, has no depth for a long conflict.

The psychopaths who control Biden are aware of this and that is why they are considering nuclear war. Of course they are morally bankrupt, insane and doing the bidding of Schwab and the World Economic Forum towards the goal of world government.

I think we could come out of all this a better nation than ever before if we embrace personal freedom, self-sufficiency, cooperation with other countries and remember that our own Constitution is the law of the land.

I agree with much of what you have written, but I think there are other twists. I have no idea if Putin is Christian, Buddhist, Pagan or Atheist, but he does seem to be supporting the rise of the Russian Orthodox Church, as a cultural monitor if nothing else. If you remember, Ben Franklin, although probably an Atheist, said religion was important to a stable society. Putin is very pro-Russian, and although he is being accused of trying to "recreate the Soviet Union", what he really wants, I believe, is to unite the Russo-Slavic peoples. I think he wants alliances with some of the old Soviet states to the south and east of Russia. If you notice, Putin's first trip outside Russia since the war began was to Iran for a meeting with Iranian and Turkish leaders. He signed a gas pipeline deal with Iran and got weapons agreements with both Turkey and Iran. Turkey appears to be working both sides of the fence as a member of NATO, and Iran is supporting Russia in their fight with the West and preparing for the war with Israel.

I checked a military site and they say that both Russia and China have put ~70 submarines each to sea, and the American ASW flights certainly make it look like they are concerned about Florida, the East Coast, Seattle area and Southern California, as that is where they are concentrating ASW assets around here. There are also many flight around the UK and the North Sea. The United States seems to be behind the eight ball on this one for sure, with at least tactical, if not strategic, nuclear war on the horizon.

Possibly Putin supports the church because Russia is more unified as a nation of believers than it might otherwise be - just a guess on my part.

I'm not persuaded that the US didn't get involved in Ukraine because it was known in advance that it would be devastating. I think the goal is to tear apart the very fabric of the West, so that it can be built back into a dystopia that would be better only for the elite.

Russia would be a more natural ally to us than Ukraine, albeit one that shouldn't be trusted. Then again, we shouldn't trust our other allies either.

I'm thinking along those lines too. It fits into the Build Back Better agenda. A thing needs to be broken down so they can build it back.
