I signed the petition but will not donate to anyone they the website because you get email and text from everyone is all parts of the country
I'm the same way. That stuff infuriates me. They all send out some inflammatory survey or petition and then say "Help us fight this!" and ask for money. But they never specifically state how that money will help the fight, or what it's going to be used for.
I don't even contribute to political candidates anymore for that reason. A contribution gets you on a list that is distributed to every candidate from that party, and I hate most Republicans.
I contribute to select individuals but never at the party level. I get the beggars at my door, but just ignore them. If this is an approved segue...my Congressional district recently got redrawn so that my rep is a member of the opposite party of my prior rep. Suddenly I'm getting emails from the new rep. How does that work? I don't recall getting emails from the prior guy, but even if I had, I cannot imagine they're required to hand over non-public constituent info. I've not donated to anyone from the current rep's party. We don't register party affiliation in Virginia (so my email address is not in some legit database.) I want to know how she could have possibly gotten it.
If you looked where you signed it was from Win Red, a pac for Republicans so you will get email. I already do. So what the hey? I signed before when Fauci was doing despicable experiments on puppies in Liberia (?) because he could not do them here or other places because of laws or outrage. But he is still being paid. and probably has a golden parachute.
I noticed it was from WinRed, but the ad also said "Paid for by Rand Paul for Senate." So did Rand Paul's campaign pay for an ad to solicit general GOP contributions?
Hard to say. I think the limits of giving are different for PAC's which would make them better for candidates. But who would dole out the funds? Rand has certainly been on Fauci's butt from the beginning.
Ditto. Sadly for me, my husband is a registered Republican so we get bombarded. I did not sign that petition since I have no idea about the Win Red PAC. I poked around Paul's website and didn't see anything about the petition.
